Monsters have overrun the world. The humans of the world have been enslaved. One terrorist group holds the hope of the humans. Who are they? The World Destruction Committee. What do they want to do? Destroy the world to get it back.
Who are these people?
Kyrie Irunisu (CV: Mamoru Miyano) He's the main protagonist. He's got the power to destroy the World.
Morte Asherah (CV: Maaya Sakamoto) She's the female protagonist. Part of the World Destruction Committee, she's has the Destruct Code, a powerful orb that can destroy the world. Only reacts in Kyrie's hands, however.
Agan Madoru (CV: Hiroyuki Yoshino) Only one capable of sporting this green outfit, he gives his information to the highest bidder.
Lia (CV: Yui Ichikawa) A dragon beastman, and member of the World Salvation Committee. She rocks dual handguns and an aggressive transformation.
Naja Gurefu (CV: Hiro Mizushima) Half human/half beastman, he's part of the World Salvation Committee and looking for the Destruct Code
How do I play?
It's a turn-based RPG, with some time-elements and some fighting elements. Height plays a factor too. Get your button combos working to deal some massive damage to enemy weak points. 2D Sprits on 3D backgrounds make for an awesome looking game.
So who's making this game?
World Destruction is imageepoch's Project S; one of their three main projects: Project Ray is Arc Rise Fantasia for the Wii, and Project DF is currently unannounced. The credentials list for the development staff borders on unbe*bleep*inglieveable, rocking a team of fifty.
Director: Kyoki Mikage from imageepoch (Luminous Arc) Producer: Yoichi Shimasato from Sega (Shining Force) Scenario Writer: Masato Kato (Xenogears, Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger) Main Character Designer: Kunihiko Tanaka (Xenogears, Xenosaga) Music: Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Xenosaga)
The visual and character staff also includes those who worked on Grandia, Drakengard, and Etrian Odyssey.
How does it look?
Amazing.
Where can I get more WORLD DESTRUCTION?
There is an anime adaptation that is currently airing in Japan, circa July 8, 2008, with 6 episodes as of right now, titled World Destruction ~Sekai Bokumetsu no Rokunin~. There's also a manga adaptation in serialization in Dengeki Maoh magazine.
There any videos?
Oh yeah.

Looks alright for the most part, but what the Hell is wrong with the character designers? Nomura-style appearance design is overplayed by now. Outdated. Look at those clothes. They all look uninspired as heck. Lia's French maid-style crap looks especially old and unoriginal. While Kyrie's just an all-out abomination. They could've equipped him with a clown suit, a pair of Crocs and a pointy bra and he'd've looked less stupid than he does now.

Bump. World Destruction is now known as "Sands of Destruction" outside of Japan. Confirmed. Just been watching the anime, anyone else seen it? It's pretty fantastic. The opening theme song ZERO by AAA is FANTASTIC.
Seriously looking forward to this game. >.<

Yeah, go Taupy (I hate how they spelled that, I liked the subbed version of Toppi better), kick some ass!
I don't understand why they'd change the title though. I guess 'World Destruction' sounds a bit too sinister.

World Destruction will be localized as "Sands of Destruction" by Sega. Still awaiting the PR.

The anime is quite interesting if anyone was thinking of giving it a watch. I still haven't seen the last episode yet, but I'm hoping the ending is good. I think I'll go do that now actually.

Famitsu just reviewed it and gave it 8/8/8/7 (31/40). That's a lot better than that other publication.
