5-7 artists will compete in each round using a compulsory number of images (at least 3) to create a collage.
An additional 3 artists will be required for the judging process and this is open to members on the judging list and any people who feel they have sufficient level of graphics experience.
The winner of each round peforms the role of "supplier" in the next round, choosing 5 stock images.
Guidelines for artists»
Entrants should try not to exceed 700*700.
Entries will be disqualified if they fail to use at least 3 of the stock images
Additional text, images and effects are allowed although the emphasis is on intelligent and artistic use of the stock images.
Try to include a short explaination of which stocks were used and what you decided to do with them.
Please refrain from posting your piece anywhere else i.e. Sample Graphics, Digital Portfolio until the judging process is complete.
Be creative!
A note on image hosting»
Recently, some people have encountered problems with imageox as a host. In the meantime, I would urge participants to avoid using imageox.
Could the supplier of the stocks also ensure that they have backups of the stocks saved on their computer in case the host goes down.
Participation»
Artists and Judges should either send me a PM or reply to this thread in order to participate.
Completed collages should be posted in this thread.
The supplier of the images (i.e. the winner of the last round) cannot enter the new round.
On a more general note, graphicscollage is all about exploring new ways of making graphics and stepping outside of the somewhat cliched medium of anime/wrestling/game banners. So get involved, no matter what level of skill you think you're at and hopefully this thing won't die out quite yet...

That one with the kids combined with the rock mountain one makes this round super hard, lol. I'd be impressed if anyone could collage those effectively.

Was going to put the kids playing in the road (cynical, eh?) which wouldn't have been too difficult, putting one of the three remaining stocks into the image would've been tricky bit. The car in every sense of the word is not going anywhere, the stormy sky would be used to replace the sky in the road picture but it would take way too look cutting the sky out of the road picture inbetween the branches of the trees and stuff. The rocky one is a picture I can take nothing from at all.
I'm not great at choosing stocks without picking them with what I'd try to make out of them in mind, but I think there is a few interesting possibilities with those stocks. Hopefully you guys can come up with something good from them.
