hey people sorry if there are so many threads concerning this game and whether one should buy it. im considering getting a 360 and saving up for it as you read this. im trying to think about games i should buy if i get it. is assassins creed one i should be considering or shunning? is all this hype good or bad? is it really one of the best 360 games there are? ive seen reviews and its been slated. i decided i may as well ask professionals (you!!) on this matter. should i get it?

its a very good game but i think after a few assasinations it gets a bit boring as its a similar abjective every time:( but it is kinda cool just waiting in the shadows then pouncing on people before slaughtering them with a hidden blade

I love the game. But with games like Halo 3 and COD4, I don't find myself playing it a lot due to the lack of online support and it's somewhat repetitive feel. But every now and again its good to take a break from LIVE. You will be happy with the desicion if you bought it.

Definitely worth picking up a used copy.
After hearing lots of bad things about it i took a chance and got a copy. Maybe it a bit repetitive and short but its also a great looking game.
Plus who doesn't enjoy mooching around looking all moody and assassinating people!

You can reload any memory block you want after beating it, and after completing the game, you can kill civilians without losing health.

Can you still roam around and kill people after you have finished the game? Or do you have to start all over again?

Let me begin with saying that I really enjoyed this game - I didn't think it was terribly repetitive, I am close to getting all the achievements - you get the point.
I would recommend renting it simply because Assassin's Creed can be beaten within a week; an $8.00 rental is cheaper than a $60.00 game.
