Does anyone know how to avoid that pulse attack that tabuu uses. i can avoid any of his attacks but that

Use Yoshi,Ike,Ness,Lucas and maybe someone you like.. Just use Yoshi's A move in the air to do alot of kicks that'll take out a lot of his health now if you die use Ike's up+b move and other moves and use Ness's PK thunder Up+b and let the thunderball hit Ness and bump into Tabuu do the same with Lucas .. just leave a little bit of his health so you can pick up a trophy stand to throw it at him to get a trophy of him!

I used the pokemon trainer and switched out, not when he appeared, but when the first puklse was about to hit me. (use squirtles up attack, and ivysaurs basic b attack under tabuu.) LOL,im not a hater, the pic is supposed to say stupid mario BROS. (search it on youtube)

Just use zelda. i know she's not that popular a character but her 'side +B' move does a lot of damage to the boos and keeps her suspended in the air away from harm's way.
Use Snake or Kirby or anybody with a long lasting jump or recovery move.
Snake? he has a really short hop and Tabuu can kill him as he is in the copter >.> gogo Rock smash and spot dodges

Lucario's Dair is also very usefull to rack up damage on tabuu. Yoshi is beast for Tabuu IMO. Egg throw and dair are great for the battle.

Actually all of the techniques listed could be used. PLUS on Single player mode, he is easier to kill.

Moves to look out for: his Golden Whip of Glory (catches you off guard quite easily), RRoD, and fiery clones. If there are items be careful with the spearhead, as if it hits the items there might be a slight lag in which you become a solid target again.
But basically all you have to do is keep on dodging his moves; Marth is quite a character to use if you're good at his tipper moves. It's entirely possible to beat him sustaining minor or no damage with Marth, who has agility and powerful tipper moves.
