Indeed a useless bump. But at any rate... while no one knows the true timeline of Ivalice, it can be proven that FFT and FFXII are on different timelines. FFT is at least 100 years, if not more, after FFXII. Balthier's appearance should not be considered concrete and part of the story line, since it was added to the PSP version.

what? FFXII does not last for 50 years, and the war in that game is spilt in two major battles, the beginning and the end, and there is not that long of a time difference in between
nice bump of a useless thread btw

The 50 years war = FF12
-_- Too easy...

actually i saw a timeline somewhere that had all the major events of Ivalice.......sorry i cant find the link
they had things this way FFXII > FFXII: RW > 100 years pass > St. Ajorn(sp?) creates religion > FFT:WotL begins
so it might be that theres about a 100yr gap between the two and that Balthier is a time traveling demon...or that its the same time in both games just that ones a parallel universe
btw: no the Strahl can't time travel

Well if I am not wrong, I think I have read somewhere that Balthier's airship is capable of transcending time, hence he is able to appear in Ramza's time...
By the way, Balthier's FFXII setting is said to be much earlier than Ramza's.

I never made it through FFXII: RW, but I might start it back up when I have time.
I think Ramza's time and FFXII's time are the same, though. Just different areas.

i've played the two games and sorta made the connection....if you play the two games its pretty obvious.....don't mean to insult you of course
