Yeah, I just came up with the idea. If people hate the Al Bhed, isn't that a bit racist. Your Thoughts.

Not at all, it could be discrimination but they have a valid reason for why they actually dislike them.

I'm sure many racist groups believe their reasoning for hating other races is valid too.

Of course the hatred of Al-Bhed is a form of racism/discrimination. The people of Spira are brought up to believe that the entire race of Al-Bhed is bad simply because they are against Yevon's teachings.
There's no real valid reason for hating them. Are the Al-Bhed harming anyone? Not really. Even their kidnapping of the Summoners were done with good intentions. They merely have an alternate view on Yevon, Machina, and the Summoner's pilgrimage, and the people of Spira didn't like that.
(Hasn't anybody in Spira ever stopped to think that maybe the Al-Bhed's were right? After Sin continuosuly came back, you'd think that there would be someone who thought that, 'hey, the pilgrimage could probably end alot better than it currently is').

Do you remember how Lulu said it, I do not recall, because I have not played it for years.

Did she give an explanation or just say "Machina summoned Sin, hate machina and hate the Al-bhed."

The followers of Yevon generally hates Machina used in war because they were brought up being taught that it was the cause of the deaths of their family/relative. Anyone would be stubborn and act just like Wakka if they were brought up being told that.

ya happy goth, I know Yu Yevon summoned him, because he was stated multiple times in the game and how powerful Yu Yevon was. Which has brought up the discussion if Sin was THAT powerful at the start.

I cannot recall why they hate machina though, it does almost seem like they are making an excuse.

I think happy goth was referring to it as the teachings(lies) of yevon state as an excuse to dislike the al bhed and machina, but don't shoot me if I'm wrong

Sin is what Yu Yevon created from the final aeon. He morphs it into armor. Machina does not create sin.
