For almost 13 years (sorry if I got the counter wrong), the Tales games have been very known and very well valued by fans and not-so-fans, since Tales Of Phantasia was released for the SNES.
Since the games have got a lot of potential, I'm sure that a Tales Series forum here would work very nice, since there are over 10 Tales games, and the games are some sort related as the games are divided in "Mothership Titles" and "Escort Titles" (which include characters and other elements from the other games in one).
Other than it would be nice to discuss the relations and characters of all the games, it would also be nice to discuss them in their own platforms, as the series even has titles on Cellphones.
Personally I think that we should give a Tales Series forum (or General Tales, if you prefer) a try.

Hm, I could definitely give ideas about raising activity and what not (things I have discussed with looots of people who agree would work), but that is certainly another topic for another time.

You make a good point, but everything I said was based on the direction the higher ups are trying to take to solve this problem. It's been established that Neo overdid the whole variety factor, and part of the reson why the forums are so dead is because there are simply too many places to post in. To my understanding, this is why so many forums are being merged and Red is working on organizing/condensing the main index. While you have nothing but good and hopeful intentions, it seems to me this approach would be a step backwards from what they are trying to achieve.

Honestly, Neoseeker is pretty dead. There is a bunch of dead forums. Most activity from the site comes from the lounges. General Mario forum? Dead. General Zelda? Dead. Most non-lounge forums that do have activity have most if not all it's activity coming from off-topic GDs. I know I made this suggestions years ago, but honestly we lose nothing if we try. It will either have activity, or it will end up being dead like 98% of the forums here. It won't make a difference for those who don't want participate in it. Giving it a shot will not kill Neoseeker any further. If anything, there is a tiny chance a new community will bloom out of it.
So yeah, like I said, it will either be a dead forum or a new community. Neoseeker isn't in a position where another dead forum would hurt it's reputation: Lot's of new forums are created every day for submitted game profiles (and a considerable amount of these forums aren't reached even by spambots), and also, there's never been an issue with dead forums. So, why not?

I don't know. Even after all these years I don't think the fan base here on Neo has grown significantly enough to warrant a general Tales forum. It's true the Graces f forum has had enough activity to warrant a moderator, but it's nothing striking and seems to be living off of game threads and an off-topic GD. I was pretty disappointed to find out the Tales of the Abyss forum was dead, even with the somewhat recent (re)release of the 3DS version.
I think even if a Tales character was to be featured in one or both of the games you mentioned, a thread/few threads on said character would be enough. If not, that would be the type of evidence to bring to this thread, not predictions of how it will be in the future. What if it doesn't turn out as planned? We really don't have any way of knowing. ):

The Tales series has been going on for so long now,and the series has a fair amount of die-hard fans (myself included),and I'm certain if we had a general Tales forum we'll have alot of those fans frequenting it.
And with games like Project X zone (which features Tales of Vesperia's Yuri and Estelle) and Namco making the next Super Smash bros (most think a Tales character as a guest is fairly likely),the series will probably get more fans in due time.

I support it! If we don't get it, you people are crazy...

I've heard of the series but like most others have mentioned the forums don't seem to be brimming with activity to merit a general forum.
Don't support.

I've heard of it, but not many people have.
Don't support, the game's don't seem to be bursting out for a general forum.

If you haven't heard of Tales, then you probably aren't a real gamer.
Don't support though. The fact that a forum like General Zelda is dead, shows that a forum for a game series that's less popular will most certainly fail.

I don't think it's even that popular and if you check the other general game forums, you'll see that the only general game forums that exists are some of the most popular gaming franchises ever. And as other people in this thread, I haven't even heard of most of the Tales games.
