I haven't played SA nearly as much as 3 and vice but I was searching around at various gta sites and came across a pic of carl in GTA3. I dont know much about the storyline in SA, but I do know that CJ came back to los santos from liberty city. I'll show the pic again when I find it.

I find it also too coincidental that there is a girlfriend story arc in san andreas but not really in VC, LCS or VCS. and the fact that the gta3 carl was messing around with marty's girl.

Ooh, kay... There's absolutely no similarities between CJ and Carl. None whatsoever. Well, apart from the name. Don't you think it's a little farfetched that he would change from black to white? Face it, they are two different characters.
Salvatore's brother? I don't remember anyone in any of the games mention he has a brother, and i've played through them all since III for at least twice. I'm going back to play III in a while, just to see this Carl.

What Im saying is couldn't it be plausible that R* said the gta3 carl is the same carl from SA but changed his skin color?? I mean, they said that they had the idea for 3 games since the beginning *shrug* maybe it is the same carl but decided to make him black to fit in with the gangsta way of life in 1992.

Salvatore would have him killed regardless. If you hadn't noticed, Salvatore was in San Andreas... CJs home state.
Nearly 10 years can really change someone.

cj will never return because he has stated that he isnt going no where to sweet he also has to many things holding him back and also salvatore would have him killed if he returned to LC.

1: You don't know if CJ will never "ever" go back to LC. That's not a call for you to make.
2: People do call him "Carl"...I recall Sweet calling him that several times.
He hella looked black in that picture...but upon closer inspection, he is white.

look ok cj was in LC from 1987 to 1992, he has always been black, marty chonks has absolutely nothing to do with carl in any way, and cj will never return to LC ever plus no one calls carl carl they call him cj and always will. there is no possibility of carl being in GTA 3. or referrenced.

Edit: I'm back. I just finished the mission "Her Lover," and Carl is definitely a caucasian man, with blonde hair and beard, and he has a girlish voice. I'll post a pic of him, when i can get the picture out of my cellphone.
