Recently, in an interview at E for All, a Nintendo Representative let Luigi's inclusion in Brawl slip.
Luigi was in both Super Smash Bros 64 and then in melee as an unlockable character. He's known for being very light and floaty. His special attacks in melee: b= green fireball down b= spin attack (controllable) side b= rocket attack (chargeable) ^ b= uppercut
what do you guys think about Luigi in Brawl. How will he or his moves change. Discuss his Final Smash, attacks, taunts, entrance onto the stage, overall feel, etc.

Air game monster really. Being an Olimar main, I don't have a problem with that. But with my Ness main, it is. Priority is sick. N-Air, F-Air. Only my F-Air can really approach him... Vell Done Luigi.
Sorry for double-posting, but I found an AT for Luigi that I don't think is known yet.
It is known that Luigi gets pushed backwards if he shields a strong attack like any f-smash. But if you sidestep immediately after you get hit, you won't get blown back by the hit. It might be useful for attacks with lots of lag that you can punish. But you need time to finish sidestepping, so it might still be situational, though effective in Ike match ups.
l think l knew this already. Problem it's situational and also with what Sf said. Many times its just better off to PS stuff. Also people can abuse this like Ike's Jab. Jab1 grab mindgamez son. or just spam full jab combo if your a spotdodge abuser happy liek me

It's known, and it probably wouldn't be classed as an AT. D:
Sliding is awesome, no need to cancel it.

So I have two conflicting opinions here. They don't conflict, though, in that I should mix it up. Thanks for that guys.
And Checkmate, I'm pretty sure the reason I latched on to Luigi so quickly was because of all the different ways he can chain his attacks together in the air.
So I take this "who should you main" quiz online and get Luigi. I decide to use him for a little bit to humor the system and I discover I have a natural talent for the guy. I seriously get more misfires than I should (I once got three consecutive misfires in one match) and I rarely miss the up-b sweet spot. I have also mastered Crawldashing (go Youtube it) and incorporated it in my game within less than an hour's practice.
Now with that out of my system, I find myself using down-b to approach very frequently. Is this a good method for approach or is it too punishable?
It's a bad habit. It's good, but not to overuse extent. People with good shields and grab games will often just shield grab these. If you want to mix it up mash the B button and make it rise so you won't get punished for it's ending lag.
I'm pretty sure you love Luigi because of his ability to fit 2 aerials in one SH. You should be doing this as your approach. But the main approach you should be doing is fireball > any aerial. Luigi has poor approach options anyways until you learn how to buffer/FFAD.

It's good. Try to end up behind your opponent's shield with it.
