An audio tournament would be ill, except that if you think reply times are ridiculous now, wait till people start coming with the "ooh shit my mic wasn't working for about two weeks" type bullshit excuses. If done right tho, yeah that shit would be awesome..

But what's better than an audio tourney? An audio rankings list, lol. We can already tell that Jecht would prolly be #1, me #2, etc. But still, organization is fun.

however, im not *bleep*in bitchin about this shit, i detested it from day 1, as did you at one point. however i dont jock just cause i find out i battled a bunch of newbs and im placed better than those who'd kick my ass. there, M.

still, when you can show me a system that doesnt merit someone like balla making it up to 100 pts by battling, not only beating 30 spocks, ill shut up. Which is what i was referring to initially, til you decided to be a bitch. but yeah, they're not bad, no. but i also doubt you calculated those wins as a middle weight, too. besides that, the losses from those that you did lose to, probably lost you 1/2 those points earned from those battles you mention there(and i gather you mention because you won, yes?) well.. you had to have made points off newbs elsewhere. did you not say you battles some 22 times?

so explain to everyone that even with my point of time and not skill, standing, that you sit ahead of those who are better than you, now... IE, Me(through you admitting this) and webby, and whom ever else is better and yet, either are or are going to be ranked lower.

which brings me back to my point making when stating the fact that we ditched the old ranking because a) the "panel" was no longer interested, and the "leaving it up to one/2 people" is a bad idea anyways. which, what do you know, it is. proving my point further. a system which would be applicable for our setup and our *bleep*ing game here, would be wins/losses/belt obtaining/moving forward after that.

it's a shine off of what it was with the panel, since thats what was considered to begin with... skill.

the ranking system shouldnt take this long to show people where they're at. not to mention, this is going to be a *bleep* of a problem updating every persons points, after every battle, every 2-3 days. look man, im not bringing this shit up for no reason. im just saying it cause im not gunna give up and or NOT say anything against people such as yourself who take too much on, and then will defend it down to the last bits.

make it easier, make it more realistic.

Wins advance, battling higher up the chain = hype = advancing brackets.
beating lower people = no meritting value. just a community, we do this for fun, so why not. anywhere in your bracket and up = a win. and go by current wins. establishing the ranks.

dq's count as wins, if the right opponent is battled. as if they walked off the mic. essencially blew it.

and uhh, there you have a system which can be done in a day, by any person(s) who can gather every emcee's name in the last 3 months(90 days, im sure we can get 20-25 emcee's from this) and make brackets, 5 to a bracket, add the wins/losses per emcee, losses count only in the case of tied winnings, and viola. as of yet, make all winnings count to establish placement, and there you have it, the contending ranks.

and, if "battling someone lower blah blah *bleep*ing blah" is an issue, which it wont be. but, if it is, then what ever, make it since it's 5 brackets, only those wins of which are in the bracket directly below your current standing, and above, deal you a win on your record. that way, generally, those who are challenged by someone lower, as usually looking at something like this anyways. webby's an uprising emcee with what, 8-9 wins? he'd be say, in the 3rd of 5 brackets right now with the current emcee's... he's lookin above him at mike, dutch, otr, myself(if in fact i'd be in the 4th bracket) etc etc, veteran, established emcee's who have some skill, and what not, who can still get a win off him should he challenge us.

+ the people in 2nd of 5 who can give him wins should they challenge him... you know?

this, makes for competition, and it will improve win quality by a long shot. people will get recognized for who they beat, essentially. and they will move up from it. bettering themselves and encouraging that initiative thing.

points'l take ages, take hardcore maintenance, and ruin the essential need of battling greater challenges to advance yourself both lyrically and through the ranks.

laughable? lol, maybe. but, it isnt very laughable to know that everyone who's unranked right now, are basically looking at never bothering to be ranked, since, it'l take them 6 months to get ranked. not to mention, a year to get out of feather status with the current active emcee's/judges/jocking going the *bleep* on around here.
