I am at the end of the Echoing Caves level (PS2). I've finished all the barrel stuff and I'm on the platform with a lower and an upper opening. The walkthroughs that I've read say to free a teensie in a cage and that's that. But when I walk through the upper opening it isn't that straight forward. The room I come out into has three hole in the floor with lava, a machine behind blue lasers, and a teensie behind blue lasers in an ajoining room. When I shoot at the machine a pirate appears and start shooting and teleporting to different places around the room. My problem is that he seems impossible to kill. My shots do almost no damage to him. How do I defeat him so that I can free the teensie? If anyone has any suggestions or strategies I would really appreciate your help. Thanks so much.

you cant kill it but you can hit the teensie when shoting
