Hello, i've just bought H&D2 (no sabre squadron) for a small price, so it's legal. The game works perfectly on my computer, but there's one problem: it's in French instead of English and i reeeeaaaly prefer an English game.
Since the installation everything is in French and i never saw an opportunity to change language, not in the installation process, the setup or the game itself. The game itself is also in French, and that makes it difficult to understand for me.
Maybe i've missed an opportunity to change language or there is another way to change language.
So if anyone knows how to change language (it is a silly question, i know) i would be very thankful

but this mean you have to uninstall the game an delete the register entries
because it wil always find it back
and put al back to french
Not sure what the reg entry is and if you understand what that means
But a good regcleaner wil help you get rigde of it

So uninstall the game again run a reg cleaner and have a good look for entries like illusion soft or ubisoft
en delete them

install the game again and be sure to choose english this time

Hm, i don't know what registers are, but i'll try to find something about it and how i should clean them.

Incredible! I just bought the game again 2 days ago for 1 Euro in Amsterdam but have exactly the same problem. The software and box are all labelled English but from the installation screen everything is French... I'm wondering if it's the serial that decides the language?

Yes, I bought it also in the Netherlands, in Groningen. Did you also buy it at the 'Bart Smit' Stagga?

yes i have him to in french, but the movies etc i can understand because they are english i also read in a french dutch dictionary for the objectives
and i dont know what to do but after playing it a while it didnt bothered me any more

I've downloaded an English FAQ, so I read the objectives, hotkeys and commandos in English. The fact the game is in French also doesn't bother me anymore.

But do all the Dutch guys who are playing it in French, bought it at the BART SMIT???

Hi dutchie here too. I bought the game today at an Intertoys store. On the cd stands English, but when installing its totally in French!!
After installing a patch i see more maps with other languages appear in the map: #:\Program Files\Illusion Softworks\Hidden & Dangerous 2\Text
But no option to change language in setup. I tried to change language in the register...maybe that will help.

Same here, don't remember where I bought it, probably Bart Smit or MediaMarkt

French all the way. For some reason those installers think that European releases should default on French, with the exception that you can't change it here.

I found something though: in setup.ini on the first CD there is an option "EnableLangMenu=N" or something like that. I'm gonna try if I can change that to Y and get a good install going.
