Recording What I Play In My Keyboard Onto My Computer.

It's possible. I think to figure that out for sure a picture would be helpful, though.

Interesting, there's no MIDI out. Either that USB port is for loading sounds onto the keyboard or for recording sound - or both. If you've got the proper USB cable (those are pretty common, you probably have one lying around somewhere) go download Audacity (it's free). If not that, try getting your hands on a free trial (can't endorse illegal downloads of course) of Cubase or a similar recording software, plugging the keyboard in and see what happens.

That failing, you can always get a USB audio interface, which will convert that 1/4 inch output jack into a USB audio signal for you. They're about 100 bucks for a basic one, which isn't too bad. Either way, your keyboard has an output so you can definitely record, it's really just a question of whether or not that USB port goes both ways or if it's only for loading the onboard memory with new tones.

Alright up to this point, I have been able to connect it to my computer and I can use the keyboard as an external output system with FruityLoops. Now, about the Audacity thing, how exactly can I go around on recording what I play? And is there a way to transfer the user recorded songs from the keyboard to the computer? I now know the model of my keyboard is 'psr e403'.

Yeah I have been looking for it for a few hours now. I got the program neeed (Musicsoft Downloader, it's free), and so far I have just been able to transfer midi's to the keyboard, I also have an idea on how to transfer things from it to my PC, but I cannot find my recordings. I was able to find a "BUP" file, googled around it and discovered it is a back file, I tried opening it with a wide array of programs with no luck. Not to mention, I have two recordings there, and there is only one BUP file, so I am almost sure that BUP is not what I am looking for. Also, I am almost sure that there has to be another method to get my recordings from there.

Yeah, I was able to mess with the VSTs in Fruityloops with my keyboard and gotta admit I had a hell of fun with that :/. I was also able to record a little test track on FL, but I have no idea on how to do it again... But just that, I was able to use the VSTs with FL, I actually expected to be able use the keyboard's instruments on it rather than FL's VSTs, which is cool and will be useful for future projects, but not for what I want to do now unfortunately ~

I also discovered that Yamaha sucks at writing manuals and instructions, just like they fail at providing customer service, based on everything I saw on Google, that must be true.
