Movie Discussion: Take One - Page 11

I'm going through the American Pie movies, I had only seen the first 3 before last night when I watched Band Camp. I didn't take to it too well at the start with that young lad trying to fill the boots of Sean William Scott but I eventually learnt to tolerate him and actually came to enjoy his character. It was obvious from the start what the outcome would be, but you don't watch American Pie movies for unexpected twists. Next up is Naked Mile and then Beta House. Then I should perhaps look at the idea of watching one of the movies I currently have on my computer that have been sat there for months.

Saw Burn After Reading today.

Soooo confusing. I still couldn't give you an overview of the movie if you asked me. =X

So I saw most of Independence day last week, and the rest yesterday. Pretty daft, but entertaining.

After having a drunken discussion with a mate we've decided that Kevin Costner is God.

I mean, think about it: Tin Cup, Field of Dreams, Waterworld, Bodyguard, The Postman, Robin Hood... I mean, the cheesiness if freaking awesome. I love you Kevin Costner. You are the most amazing actor I have ever seen. Purely because you read all of those scripts and thought "I'll do it".

I was barely educated in Star Trek before I saw that too. All I knew was 'Captain Kirk sits in middle chair' and 'Spock is Leonard Nimoy with big ears and half-Vulcan ways'.

But that film really was entertaining and interesting.

Whoever played Spock was superb and Simon Pegg was particularly amusing as Scott.

Go see Pixar's new movie "Up." Seriously. It was a hilarious movie and super duper cuuute! I have never before cried within the first 15 minutes of a film only to laugh hysterically 5 minutes afterwards.

I actually once totally broke down whilst watching a scene in Condemned, but it really wasn't the movie that caused it, it just triggered it somewhat.

Everyone seems to cry at Lion King. I get watery eyes at times but I haven't cried over a movie for a long time. Other than the Condemned one I don't think I can recall one that I've actually cried over since The Lion King.
