won't happen. our wage is very very tight atm. like i said before a last signing will probably be a kid from the VPL IF Ange wants to sign someone.

our boys got smashed by Japan tonight 5-0 in the U22 AFC qualification. really shows how far Japan have come and how many years they are ahead of us. fwiw we can still qualify if Indonesia get something out of the game against Singapore, which is on now.

good to hear Luke O'Dea playing and scoring 3 times in 5 games throughout the qualifiers. watched him play at Bentleigh Greens the other week and if we get an injury or two upfront, i reckon he'll be getting some game time this season. decent player

Brisbane sign Do Dong-Hyun, never heard of him and can't find much on him but he is a left sided winger.

i'm guessing their last spot will go towards a CB after Adnan leaving and not many Aussie CBs available atm

If that's there international player then I can only imagine he's miles apart to Del Piero in terms of quality.

He's Irish.

But he once stopped here on holiday that one time, so that's cause enough to claim him as our own

Pfft. If he's good enough and really wants to play for us it'll happen. Anyone who would actually try and blackmail the FFA should never get a call up.

i'm assuming you mean the friendly?

some positives were:

Dilevski - solid
Gallagher - solid and i would be happy to see him play CB with Leijer to let Milligan push into midfield
Davies - very exciting player. creates a lot and not scared to take players on.
Finkler - very good. similar to Kaka (yeah yeah) in the way he plays. can't wait to see him and Flores link up.
the little greek kid, Markelis has a very very good footballing brain but Ange needs to keep his feet on the ground (wants to do it all himself)
our passing has improved by about 948781111000000

negatives:

our team is still very small. feel this will be a major worry for us next season defensively
defense up to it's old tricks (although we did miss 2 of our first back 4)
getting out of defense was a bit of a worry sometimes. will only improve with practise, so not too worried about that atm
Velaphi still enjoys a lot of flapping
Fosh and Franjic off the pace. don't really think these 2 will fit into Ange's system. although still plenty of time to adapt

i know it was a friendly against a state team but some very good early signs

happy to have football back! very decent crowd as well on a very cold night.

if Ange wants Milligan in the midfield instead of Jeggo, Gallagher moves to CB.
