Thomas had a frew dodgy moments, but you can hardly blame the loss on him. He kept us in it in the second half with some brilliant one on one saves. It's the middle of our defence that needs to be looked at. Also, Fosh was nowhere to be seen for both of the goals Heart got, and it was he who should have been guarding the back post.

Thought he would have started tonight actually. Not sure if he had an injury though.

Well, it was an interesting game. Overall, I think it was positive from a Victory perspective. We tried to play football, and we looked like we had a plan. Flores was excellent and is going to be awesome this year, should've got that goal! Victory's goal was sublime and shows what is possible this season. Thomas in goals had a nervous first half but was excellent in the second, made some outstanding saves that kept us in it right until the end.

Few negatives though. Two weak links in that starting lineup were Broxham and Foschini. Broxham shouldn't even have a contract, let alone be playing. Looked much better when he went off and Jeggo came on instead. Foschini was responsible for both goals so that's self explanatory. Boys need to be weary of suffering from 'Arsenal Syndrome' and trying to walk the ball in the back of the net, Finkler was a main culprit in that respect. Also need more cohesion between Leijer and Milligan, few holes left in central defence at times.

Whilst I'm unhappy about the result (and the fact that the donkey Macallister scored) I'm confident the Victory are going in the right direction. Need to get results sooner rather than later though.

I agree on a few things you've said, though personally speaking; I feel Tando should've started ahead of Thomas. That's not to say Thomas didn't have a decent game [couldn't do much for the goals really] but the fact that Ange said that Tando can't play out of the back is complete and utter rubbish. He did it with us for a couple seasons, though he couldn't at times 'cause our team was so wank.

Totally agree with your assessment on Broxham and Foschini; both were complete and utter passengers for the entire game. Foschini cannot defend to save his life, and he added nothing to the side going forwards, so it'd make sense to get Dilevski in there next week. Didn't think too much of Finkler last night, though I think he struggled because of the brutality he suffered. First ten minutes, Heart just set out to kick the shit out of him [complete and utter anti-football on their behalf] and Finkler went back into his shell somewhat. He dwells on the ball soooooo much and he looked knackered after 30-minutes.

DO NOT rate Leijer one bit, and last night did nothing to change my mind. He's not a captain, knows *bleep* all about being a leader and is a distinctly average footballer who Muscat [back in the day] managed to make look somewhat decent. He and Milligan were a bit shaky last night, but I'd definitely have Milligan as the captain. Twice the player Leijer is, though I think Milligan will be in for a long season if the cohesion between the two doesn't come together soon. And another player that didn't impress me one bit was Markelis, who was so damn predictable! How 'bout taking on the fullback ffs? Behich is *bleep*ing shit, yet you lot managed to make him look like Roberto Carlos last night. The fact that Robbie Slater thinks Behich is a future Socceroo makes me laugh [and cry too] because the guy is so damn shit that it isn't funny. It also proves that Slater, as many already believe, knows *bleep* all about football.
