Who loves beer? Everyone loves beer. In fact I'm having a beer right now and so should you.

Since this is a dedicated beer thread, you should talk all things beer including favourites, those beers you don't like, what's on special, and recommend some people new beers to try.

I used to drink pretty much just Carlton Draught and then I decided I needed to try something new and boy there is just so much better out there. A favourite of mine is Hoegaarden, a Beligian white beer. It's great, it has a light feel to it and a mild flavour. Those are the sorts of beer I prefer, though I do like James Squire Amber Ale & Golden Ale from time to time, as well as others such as Little Creatures Pale Ale. Oh and Matilda Bay's Original Redback wheat beer. Delicious.

A while ago now, the misses and I went to Grand Ridge brewery in Mirboo North. They have some fine beers there. A brewery opened up not too far from here in Bruthen (20 min from where I live) but I haven't been there yet, but I'm going to go and check out their beers.

I hate beer. It tastes like old mattresses. I love spirits <3.

I'm concerned about you knowledge of old matresses Xodus.

My favourite beer is Guinness, followed closely by anything brewed by Cascade. Have not yet tried Boags though, people have been telling me that's some good shit too.

I like beer. I drink beer. I like Corona or Carlton Draught, but I drink pretty much everything.

That said, it has been about 4 months since my last drink.

At work today I bought a "world beer pack" that was on sale from $30 to $10. I also bought 2 Mexican beer packs for $20 and a cider pack for $10.

The world class beer collection consists of 10 different beers.
The Mexican beer collection consists of 3 different beers where you get 4 of each.
The cider pack contains 5 different ciders.

Money well spent. 34 beers for $30. The ciders aren't for me, they're for the misses.

I drink Carlton because I'm cheap and lazy, it's available in virtually every pub I've been to so I never have to drink something new because they didn't have the beer I want. In terms of alcoholic beverages in general, I like shots and jager bombs.

For anyone interested, try Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Holy shit it's nice. Lovely medium bodied and flavoursome beer.

Just looked at my opening post and my palate has changed a bit, I'm starting to prefer heavier, hoppier beers. Gage Roads Sleeping Giant IPA is really nice, it's a pretty well balanced IPA, i.e not overloaded with hops.
