This is Set Your Goals you're talking about right, not DEP? Who are DEP? I'm sure it's Set Your Goals. They don't sound metal, but to me it sounds like they take some metal influences. At least, more so than any other pop punk band I've heard. Listen to this song. The section before the verse sounds metal inspired to me. Then there's the riff at 1:28 which sounds a bit like like Frantic by Metallica. And then after that is a metalcore-esque screamo section. Not metal, but it has similarities. EDIT: After re-reading your post I realize that DEP are Dillinger Escape Plan. -------------------

	Well that's what it says on their wiki article. You're right though, they don't sound pop punk. I'd probably put them more in the category of hardcore punk. -------------------
