And even if the networks are just shitty that you're watching their shows via an outside source, rather than their own channel or website, it will still have the networks watermark on it, so there's no credit lost. The only plausible issue I can come up with is the advertising. But as said, there are legal ways to obtain television shows without ads and with the networks consent. Shit, you can even just TiVo the damn shit these days, and they know you're just going to fast-forward through the ads anyway. Downloading music I understand. Downloading movies I understand. Downloading games I understand. But I don't quite understand the fuss behind downloading television shows. Unless the show in question is shown exclusively on a Pay-TV network, I don't see how it causes any harm. -------------------

	I could just as easily TiVo a whole series or record it to a DVD, which would be doing the same thing. Yet the networks seem to support TiVo and similar recording devices. -------------------

	It's all to do with advertising for them as that is how free-to-air networks get their income. When on TV you get commercials, when streaming online you get the websites advertisements (ie they get hits which translates to dollars), DVD purchasing is obvious. Basically any method of media consumpton they support is because there is some way of them leeching dollars out of it. Downloading from someone whose recorded it and cut out the commercials gives them nothing. Hence their objections. ------------------- Gumdrop Fields

	Just to go back tot he laugh track discussion; I personally find TV shows far more enjoyable when they have laugh tracks. Aside from the aforementioned TBBT, I have been watching shows like Friends and Will & Grace, both of which have laugh tracks, and I am finding them far more enjoyable. 	I enjoyed all of them. The first one was the best, that's for sure, but I didn't think the other two were that bad. A lot of people didn't like the second one, but I enjoyed that one. 	I don't doubt that it is a good series and all that, and I think it is fantastic to see some quality Australian drama on the screens. However, I think I'm just worn out by ALL the cop/crime shows that are on the screen nowadays, and that translates into an apathy for Underbelly. 	I don't even watch too much TV, so I don't watch all of those other cop/crime dramas that they show. Those ones generally don't interest me. I can see where you are coming from though. An overload of cop/crime shows would start to get boring after a while so I understand why you wouldn't be interested in them, but those ones are usually American anyway so I don't care for them at all.
