	It's been raised to $1.85 million for this season and that figure will probably rise to $2m next season. 	Newcastle=fail Trust them to get my hopes up Also, on the issue of the salary cap, I think it is unfair on teams such as Melbourne and Sydney aren't allowed to enjoy the fruits of their success, and are instead pulled back to the likes of Perth and Wellington. IMHO, it's almost like rewarding mediocrity. Melbourne for a long time was the only club in the league making a profit, until the Mariners also posted a profit last year, and yet they aren't able to use this to their advantage. Prepsoterous! I would like to keep the foreign rule though. Great leagues like Spain, Italy and Germany have this rule, and their national teams are much stronger for it. 	Chelsea got an impressive win against Blackburn to send us back to the top of the league. Our away form in the league as been immense this season, we haven't dropped a single point when travelling. It's weird to say, but our home form is letting us down this season Also, Anelka is on fire at the moment, he's scored five goals in his past two league games. 	How good is this season? The top few teams are so close, it makes for some awesome competition. Chelsea and Liverpool are swapping top spot every week, Arsenal are tagging along behind them, and Hull had a short time at the top. Pretty exciting I must say. Edit: Nov 09, 08 -------------------

	I still think Liverpool will drop off at some point though. 	True. I think they'll slowly climb higher up the table as the season draws on. Then again, I still think Liverpool and Chelsea will be the two teams to battle it out towards the end of the season. Man U could be close, but they've got some fighting to do. Both Liverpool and Chelsea are clearly on top, so they've got some smoother sailing ahead of them. Arsenal will win though. Provided we can pick up a decent CB during the next transfer window. :3 -------------------
