	I used to play the afl version of supercoach but I liked the Herald Sun one much more. You can check your players scores in the paper and people like Kevin Sheedy and Garry Lyon play in this one. To me, this one is more official to the AFL lol. BTW, Does anyone think there will be an AFL game for PS3? I am dieing for an AFL game to come out on PS3. I recently bought a PS3 and I was hoping the PS2 afl would work on it but unfortunetly, that was not the case. So now, when my brother comes to visit i have to tell him to bring his PS2 so i can play AFL lol. How sad is that, I have a PS3 and yet i beg my brother to bring his PS2 so i can play AFL lol. -------------------

	Well IR Gurus (the ones who made the last games) haven't released any plans or anything about a new game. not sure if sony are still letting them make the games (Sony actually hold the license not IR Gurus) or if Sony still have the license. 	One of the game designers for IR Gurus used to chat on the BigFooty boards, I asked him a few questions back when AFL 07 came out. He said that they have no plans whatsoever to make an AFL game on the (then) next-gen consoles, being the PS3, 360 and Wii. The designer did say that IR Gurus were working on other games, but none related to the AFL series. I think he said that it just costs too much really, they're quite a small company and they just can't afford making a game on Blu-Ray or HD-DVD. The amount of time it would take them would be immense, 2x-3x longer than any other AFL game. They'd have to use whole new game & graphics engines, so they'd basically be starting over from scratch. As long as IR Gurus is in control, I don't think we'll see another AFL game. So having said that, I think the AFL should hand the rights back to EA. They've done wonders with the FIFA series, and are still the frontrunners in sport with the Madden, Tiger Woods and NBA series. If EA aren't interested, I'm sure some other Aussie companies would be (Pandemic, Krome?). ------------------- I'ma thrustin' mah lazor!

	They won't, we already know that. IR Gurus might release an AFL game in 2-3 years, once they've worked with the next-gen systems long enough. It's probably a better idea to wait until then anyway, since we'll have some new teams coming into the AFL in 2011. ------------------- I'ma thrustin' mah lazor!

	I know Chelsk. I think I played a full length (20 minute quarters) game of AFL Live earlier this year; West Coast vs Bulldogs. IIRC, final score was something like: West Coast: 75.10.460 Bulldogs: 7.9.51 Yeah, and that's on hard... -------------------

On AFL Premiership 2006 I always play 5 minute quarters because I had the same problem with 20 minute ones, 2 big of a score. With 5 minutes quarters you get more reasonable and realistic scores. -------------------

	I usually do the same SMD, but I do have to agree with Chelsk. Although, it's not like many other sporting games are all that realistic either though; even on FIFA games a full-length match would have a ridiculous scoreline. -------------------

	Lol, not matter how large the score margins were, they could never get the stat count right. I'd regularly win by 200 pts and yet my best player would only get 20 posessions. Not only that, but the player rating system was appauling. If you took a player of the bench with 5 minutes to go and stuck him on a forward who only kicked 1 goal, that interchanged player would win man of the match. Even if another played kicked 14 goals from 37 posessions, the former player would get man of the match. Oh, and here's maximum unrealism. It's a goal I kicked in AFL 2007 on the PS2. Now, this was freakin' ages ago, so the quality is extremely crap. This was before I mastered recording from my TV with a camera... Oh, and I found this. A goal compilation video I made around the same time. That's bordering unwatchable. ------------------- I'ma thrustin' mah lazor!
