How do you get the pickpocket technique?

WC come on I think you should stop playing because you are having a lot of problems on the game and you are still in the beginning. Plus you can't post so many threads on Neoseeker.

Well, Actually, I'm going to keep playing because this is the last thing I need help with and I'm never coming back to Neoseeker so can you please just help me for one last time or do you have to be mean and rude like a lot of other people...So very common. Please just be nice for once, If it's not too much trouble. I'm just trying to get some help on the game and it just so happens that this is the only good site with game help, So you could have just answered me instead of telling me that I should stop playing the game, OK? Just answer my question...How do you get the PickPocket Technique? And Just so you know I'm not some kind of Star Ocean Guru, Thanks for all the help you gave me...Sorry.

Nobody is mad at you I am just saying that this may not be the game for you if you have this much trouble. And you can come on Neoseeker any time especially to this forum in fact you should register it would be better that way. So anyway for the Pickpocket skill you need to first buy the skill sets Sensibility 1(you can get this at Cross) and Sensibility 2(you can get this at Herlie). Now you know how to use your skill points right(just go to skills on the menu)? Well use your points to level up Courage and Pokerface these 2 will give you Pickpocket. The more you level them up the more success you have at stealing something. To help level up the skill Perseverence it will lower the skill points needed to learn a skill. Now if you are playing as Claude then you only need to level his pickpocket ability since you will be using him. Now this is important go to the skill screen and press the triangle button until you come to this screen where it shows your characters talents. Make sure Claude has Dexterity on there or else you might as well give up because he needs this to steal. Now if you have it and everything you only really need your Pickpocket skill at around 6 and you will have a good chance at stealing. Plus you got the Bandits Glove right? I explained how to get it in the other thread if you didn't. So once you have the Bandits Glove, the Pickpocket skill learned, and the Dexterity talent then you are ready. If you don't have the Dexterity talent well you have 2 options. You can forget about Pickpocketing or restart your game and start as Claude again because getting this talent is random every time you start a game so if you keep restarting till you get it then you will have it. There is a way to learn it but you won't be able to do that till later so I won't get into that. Now when you begin stealing always steal when you do PAs don't do it with your party members in your group because they get mad at you and you won't get a good ending. Its better to do when you are by yourself that means doing a PA by pressing the square button by a town. Now in order to steal you need the Bandits glove equipped on your accessories for Claude if you are using him. Then do a PA by a town(be sure to save before you enter the town) and once your in the town go up to a person and press the square button and either you will get a item or it will say "pickpocket attempt failed". The higher your Pickpocket level is the more chance you have to steal. Now you can go to Clik and do that one thing I told you about in the other thread.

I think the Claude in my game has Dexterity....But my sis is being Rena and I think you can get Courage and Pokerface in Cross, right? But I need to know exactly, Also Her Rena has Dexterity, Does that effect what Rena has to have before pickpocketing? Also Clik has already been destroyed in her game, Where is Ketil on Lacour? (Which City, She wants his Bandit's Glove)

It doesn't matter if Rena has Dexterity it is a set talent that anyone needs to use Pickpocket. If I am not mistaken Ketil is still at Clik when its destroyed. You don't need to steal a Bandits glove from him there are other peple who have it you can steal from.

You can still walk back into Clik after its destroyed so I would save before so that if you fail you can reload. You should register on Neoseeker its free anyway so why not.

How do you level a skill down or get more skill points?

There is no way to level a skill down(I don't know why you would want to) and the only way to get your skill level up is to use skill points and you get skill points from levelig up in battle.

So if I want to level up Pokerface or Courage I fight and will have more SP when I advance?

When you level up in battle you will get sp for it. You get more sp the higher you level up. EX. lvl. 10=20sp lvl. 15=30 and so on.

How do you pick pocket it won't work and my sister's courage and pokerface are level four and five!
