Any dog experts out there?

Serious thread about my dog this time...we adopted her December 20th and she's been great, perfectly healthy, but we've noticed she likes rubbing her face on...everything. Sometimes if your hand is out and within reach of her she'll rub her face on it, which is her way of telling you she wants you to pet her (or so we think).

But sometimes she'll rub her face on corners or walls, where it just looks more hilarious, but at the same time like is there something wrong with her?

I gave her a bath and she started doing this and I immediately started recording her. It's usually not anywhere near this extreme. My only guess is, she's been here a while, she has her own scent in the house, and she doesn't like the smell of the shampoo I put on her and she wanted to smell like her old self again. Thoughts on this?

Allergies? My nan's dog did that, turns out it was allergies. I don't know the details though.

I think it's just a way of scratching an itch they can't reach with their paws - my dogs do them, both of them.

Plus in the video which I assume is yours, your dog's tail is wagging, so I assume it isn't anything serious.

Baha oh man your dog is so cute :4 But yeah as people have said, it's most likely because she has an itchy muzzle. Also, often when dogs come out the bath if they don't like the water they'll try and get the wet off by rolling around the floor and rubbing themselves on things so if she goes crazier after a bath this could be why~

The only 2 possibilities that come to mind are: ear infection or eat mites.

Look inside her ears and if they look bright pink or red, that could be an infection. If you see small brown/black spots, it can be mites. If you see either symptom, get her ears checked at a vet. Also, make sure you dry her ears good after a bath (you can just use a cotton ball to get excess moisture out). Dogs with long, floppy ears are more prone to ear infections.

Of course, she could just be a cute, silly dog .

Itchy ears? Ear infection? Simply an itchy nose? She appears happy in the video so she's probably not in pain but you might want to ask her vet about it just to be sure...
