He had a fall out with Vince about time off and his over using of pain killers. Then Vince sacked him on the spot. And depending on who you believe, WWE offered Cage a contract, which he didnt like. WWE withdrew their offer and he had no choice but to join TNA. But as i say it depends on which side of the story you believe. Uhhh.... no he didn't. WWE let Kurt Angle take some time off of wrestling to "cool his jets" and get back with his personal issues (his wife), at that time maybe a week later Kurt Angle just quit and he went to TNA. Yes, TNA is not nearly as cool as it used to be, but so has WWE. Both WWE and TNA suck b...a...l...l...s...

While TNA continues to walk the road that WCW walked, Vince McMahon continues to improve the WWE product every week and to be honest I've not really saw that bad from the WWE since before the "Blowing Up" angle. This of course is with the exception of Hornswoggle winning the Cruiser title; while funny, it made the title and obvious joke. Kurts release was mutual by the way; he was just making good television by talking down Vince McMahon. I don't think TNA is better. It is just different. I got bored of the WWE in mid-2004 so I started watching TNA. TNA is just... different. I think it is better than WWE in some respects though.

Only time WCW was better than WWE was from 1995 - 1998, thats really what made WCW into a huge company. After that, it went downhill from there. BTW, if it weren't for WCW, WWE wouldn't have nearly as many fans and popular wrestlers there are today or were. (Jericho, Mysterio, Benoit, etc.)
