Late development affecting this weekend's shows: Davey Richards is off both shows due to an injury suffered in training. A "top quality" replacement will be named to take his place in the 4 Way Fray tonight. As for tomorrow, Samoa Joe's new opponent will be either Nigel McGuinness or the Jimmy Rave/Homicide loser from tonight's match. More updates for the Philly show tomorrow night will be posted tomorrow morning.

Anyway, I got my DVDs yesterday. I'm around halfway through Unified, but I finished the other two. Punk The Final Chapter is okay, nothing amazing though tbh. Final Showdown on the other hand is very good. I definitely reccomend it. Unified is amazing so far, even though I'm not too fond of the poor commentary clearity and those damn shouting kids during the Jimmy Rave match. But at least the kids finally shut up. "Past your bed time!" lol that was great.

BTW, I bet Morishima ate an entire pig for his fancy dinner in NYC.

HOLY SHIT JOE BEAT MORISHIMA!

Full results:
Match 1: Takeshi Morishima beat Pelle Primeau in seconds. Primeau came out to start the show with an open challenge. They teased Samoa Joe coming out when his music hit but Morishima came out and destroyed Primeau. Nigel McGuinness came out to calm Morishima down.

Match 2: Delirious beat Adam Pearce after foreign object use backfired when Pearce hit Shane Hagadorn instead, Delirious put the object in his mask, then headbutted Pearce and KO'd him. Should be funny to see how that comes off on the DVD.

Match 3: Sara Del Rey & Allison Danger beat Alexa Fisher & Daizee Haze. Del Rey pinned Fisher after double underhook suplex.

Next is 4 Way Fray with Jack Evans, Jimmy Jacobs, Shingo, and Davey Richards' replacement...XAVIER!!! As of this edit it's down to Evans & Shingo. Evans eliminated Xavier, Shingo eliminated Jacobs. Evans finally eliminated Shingo to win.

BJ Whitmer beat Brent Albright in a Tables Are Legal match.

ROH World Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal beat Austin Aries & Roderick Strong to retain the titles. After the match, Davey Richards comes out and Strong turns on Aries. Davey and Roderick are now a team known as the No Remorse Core. They beat down Aries until Evans made save. Aries suffered an ankle injury after he apparently went for a top rope springboard, missed the rope and landed badly.

Nigel McGuinness & Colt Cabana beat The Briscoes.

Samoa Joe beat Morishima by chokeout.

Main Event: ROH World Champion Homicide beat Jimmy Rave to retain the title.

Reading a full report on Wrestling Observer, this person said the worst match was the SHIMMER one (Allison apparently blew some spots) but it was still solid at that, and Joe-Morishima was a clean finish away from 5 stars. Also noted next Manhattan day is May and it appears Naomichi Marufuji will be back for that show. Which has me thinking...what effect will Joe leaving have on the agreement between ROH & NOAH, and was perhaps that an unmentioned reason for Joe's leaving ROH?

Edit: The Samoa Joe-Davey Richards match that had been scheduled for tonight has been moved to Friday in Dayton. Joe was to have faced Jimmy Rave on Friday's event. There are rumors Rave was/is suspended for using the Styles Clash (banned in ROH) but I can't yet confirm these.

Jimmy Rave was going to be suspended for tonight for using the Styles Clash, but Samoa Joe talked ROH officials out of it so their match is on.
Nigel McGuinness beat TJ Perkins in a match taped for ROHVideos.com.

Austin Aries beat Claudio Castagnoli. Aster the match Aries called out Roderick Strong but got Jack Evans instead. Then Strong & Davey Richards hit the ring and Strong calls on Evans to pick sides but he doesn't. That was it.

Colt Cabana, BJ Whitmer, & Daizee Haze beat Adam Pearce, Jimmy Jacobs, & Lacey in a street fight. Whitmer pins Jacobs after super exploder. Said to be very bloody with chairs flying everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

The Briscoes beat El Generico & Kevin Steen. Briscoes win after a combo Shooting Star Press-Guillotine Leg Drop combo on Kevin Steen.

Samoa Joe beat Jimmy Rave. Said to be nothing special outside of Joe's last Philly match with post-match farewell speech.

FIP Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong beat Delirious by countout to retain the title. Word is Delirious may be legit seriously injured as he was knocked out cold at one point and the ref gave the "x" sign. Strong won with a powerbomb outside the ring and getting back in before the 20 count.

ROH World Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal beat Jack Evans & Shingo to retain the titles. Sydal pinned Evans after a top rope double-team Angel's Wings. After the match After the match Aries comes out demanding that Evans picks which side he will be on. Jack refuses. Aries says that he's going to find the next generation of stars and begin his own group. Evans vows to do the same.

Main Event: Takeshi Morishima beat ROH World Champion Homicide with 3 suplexes and a strong lariat to become THE NEW ROH WORLD CHAMPION! The Reign Of Homicide is over.

This means that Morishima will now defend the title against BJ Whitmer Friday in Dayton. And the ROH board is heading towards capacity overload...and I have to re-do my banner.

TNA. It seems he wants to or has to focus strictly on TNA after Fifth Year Festival. It's led to a lot of rumors as to why, but that's all I know.

Edit: Since our friend force was to have been in attendance tonight, I'll try to coax him into doing a recap, at the very least confirming the title change.

HOLY CRAP! I know I said to a lot of people that 'Shima would win it, but damn... even I'm a bit surprised lol. Things are about to get interesting!
