Sorry, got a bit over excited there. All I can say is that I haven't been that excited watching a PPV in a looooong time. The crowd seemed pretty much dead until the Chamber match though which was a bit weird.

A lot of people were annoyed at Edge getting himself DQ'd against Flair but I didn't see much of a problem with it, it was all about building up his heat and making him look vicious.

Trish and Mickie had a hell of a match. Sure, they botched a few spots but they covered well for a lot of them. Definitely the hardest hitting women's match I've seen since (probably) Trish and Victoria's hardcore match some time back.

As much as I thought I would hate the Shelton Benjamin's Mama angle, I actually found the backstage stuff done with her and Shelton pretty damn funny. It was really weird to have Viscera's music play when he was just wandering around backstage though. Before I get too carried away praising this angle, I did wish Mama Benjamin would just shut up for a while during Shelton's match. A lot of the stuff she was saying at ringside was funny, but it got to Daivari-style ranting which just got annoying. Suprised they gave Shelton the win so early in this angle but I still liked that they gave him a PPV win.

It seemed to me that a lot of the PPV matches ran long, some of them could easily have been a few minutes longer and not have been the worse for it. Case in points being the Helms/Lawler match (I hated the finish for that by the way) and the Benjamin/Viscera match.

The chamber match was awesome, I was suprised they put Cena in their with HBK first though. I would have thought they'd put a heel in there with him, either Carlito or Masters just to attempt to save him from the crowd. Mind you, judging by how the crowd reacted to him for the rest of the match, I don't think it would have made any difference. The crowd just seemed to want to eat Cena alive.

Carlito's entrance into the Chamber match itself was great. He showed a lot of guts and a lot of intelligence in that match. His flip dive to HBK was great. Amazed that he was the last man eliminated too.

Angle's entrance into the chamber was totally insane. I actually found myself screaming "COME ON! KICK HIS ASS!" at the screen! Angle is a machine and I loved the way he was just dying to get into the match while he was in his chamber. Daivari by the way was hilarious, he kept climbing the side of the cage, cheering Angle on. Totally shocked to see him out first. If I were a betting man and you could put money on pro-wrestling, I would have bet on Carlito to the the first man out, not Angle.

I was suprised also at the minimal use of the chamber itself. Nobody flew off one of the inner chambers, no one went through the glass. Weird but I guess they've got enough injuries on the roster without doing anything too dangerous.

When it came down to Cena, Carlito and Masters, I knew for sure Cena was going to win and that ticked me off. When Vince McMahon came out, I initally expected some kind of Corporate Cena angle to be honest. When Vince started talking about Edge though, I started getting goosebumps. I was so freakin' excited about Edge finally using his MITB title shot. I thought he was going to just rush the ring, hit the spear and for it to be all over right there but I think having it go another minute or two longer saved Cena from looking too weak.

I was totally over the moon when Edge finally pinned Cena following the second spear though. Seems I've gone full circle on Edge now. When I first started watching wrestling in 2000, Edge was my favourite wrestler (with his tag team partner Christian a close second). Following the Matt Hardy/Lita/Edge triangle, I started to get really ticked off with Edge. This past few weeks though, I've been really enjoying his character again and seeing him win the title just took me back to 2000 and I marked out like a 12 year old. I'm still psyched now as I type this.

Even if I was watching it live I would have gone out of the room and got something to drink at that point. XD

And King probably won because he's a face, the crowd like that kind of thing even if the smarks don't. I remember once when it was King v Tazz and he had the Tazzmission on and JR got up and smacked Tazz round the head with a jar of candy. It's the type of thing a lot of people like seeing, it's not like they put in tens of hours into building up storylines for it.

Wow, Edge is the new champion. I must admit, I definitely didn't see that coming, I was sure that he would save in for Mania. I think they should have made Cena put up a bit of a fight against Edge though, it was a walkover really for Edge.

Do you think Edge will change the title back to it's original style, keep the spinner belt, or come up with a new title belt design?

omg i wanted cena to lose the title to someone in the the chamber but then edge cashes in his money in the bank after cena went thorgh hell i bet cena will win it back today easily i mean edge is stil a heel usually the chapions are faces so i thinkthe wwe made a mistake

I like Cena & I do believe someone else deserved the belt, but it should not have gone to Edge. That is some straight up BS. I will admit that I'm interested to see if there will now be Angle vs. Edge beef.

I am glad, however, that it didn't go to Carlito or Masters. That would've been 10000x worse. They didn't deserve to be in that match at all.

Actually I was rooting for Masters after HBK was eliminated, it was said to be his birthday and he would still be the youngest champion in the history of the WWE (turned 23)...now Carlito and Masters will have a rivalry for this, Carlito didn't even pin Cena after HBK delivered the Sweet Chin Music on him...not that's NOT cool

I'm watching the Elimination Chamber just now and I'm feeling a bit sorry for Cena, don't get me wrong a wanted the title to go to Kane or Angle but defo wanted Cena to lose but I don't think he deserved all the boos he's only going out to do his job and wrestle how he gets told to, it's not his fault that he's not getting allowed to use his whole moveset.

Edge got cheered because the fans were basically cheering anyone who hit Cena regardless of who they were. They'd have cheered Hassan if he hit Cena at this point in time I think.

I read somewhere that Cena was frustrated by all the boos backstage because even though he's not the best wrestler he was working hard. If they turn him heel now and back to the way he used to be it could be a turnaround for him, if they don't turn him heel tonight on Raw then they're missing a big opportunity. =/ Make Cena heel for most of the year, then turn him face at the end of it or something.
