Vengaence starts with an awsome opening video about Benoits path to victory. My guess is that this will be a damn good event, yet there wasn't much hype leading up to it.
Taijiri and ? vs. Coach and Garrison Cade. (my pick: Cade and Coach)
-Coach and Cade come out first to some minor heat, while at the same time show the results from RAW when Taijiri spewed mist in Coachs face. Next out comes Taijiri to a slight pop. Now time to find out who Taijiris partner is....dum dum dum....RHYNO!!! wow...Rhyno. I like him, but he came out to almost no ovation. Coach acts all scared of Rhyno, and quickly tags in Cade. Match starts out slow with tons of holds, but Rhyno gets the upper hand in the beginning. Funny point which got the crowed started was Cade slapping Rhyno across the face. Rhyno goes for the gore early, but Cade jumps out of the way, much to the crowds disappointment. Taijiri comes in and continues Rhynos wrath on Cade, with Coach making a few interferences. Cade eventually gets the upper hand, and tags in Coach. Coach beats on a worn down Taijiri for a bit. Coach got a body slam in, that was his biggest move. Loud Coach Sucks chants kick in for a brief few seconds. Rhyno stirs up the crowed asking for the tag from Taijiri, but doesnt get it. Until....BLAM!!! the hot tag to Rhyno, and it is now Rhyno and Coach. Coach gets his ass beaten by Rhyno for a solid minute or two, and tags in Taijiri. Cade and Coach double team Taijiri while Rhyno is on the outside, but the momentum changes when Taijiri sprays the mist in Cades face, which then sets up the...GORE!!!. Gore to Cade which takes him out, and from out of nowhere, a HUGE roundhouse kick to Coach from Taijiri which gets them the 1...2...3! for the win.
WINNERS: TAIJIRI AND RHYNO ***.
This match was quite good for an opener, and Ross couldnt have said it better, Taijiri and Rhyno make a damn good team.
-Backstage: Evolution complains about not being able to find Eugene. On another camera, it shows Benoit telling Eugene how Evolution is using him, and tells him to be careful. What Benoit doesnt know, is that Triple H was listening in.
Next is Batista and Jericho.
Jericho vs. Batista (my pick: Batista)
Jericho comes out first to a decent pop, and then Batista (to his original music, not evolutions) to a mixed reaction. Batista gets the early advantage and it stays that way for a while. Jericho takes it to the outside, but Batista reverses the momentum. Back in the ring, Batista takes the match nice and slow, weraing down Jericho. Lots of Y2J chants turns the match around slightly, but still the match stays in Batistas favour. Lots of submission moves by Batista keep him in charge. Jericho slowly makes his way back into the match, but is shot down by Batista again. Finally Jericho changes the course of the match with some big spots, but again is shot down by Batista. Crowd starts to die down by this point, this match is going really slow. More submission moves by Batista bring up some more Y2J chants which get Jericho the upper hand again. Looks for the Walls of Jericho but Batista kicks out. seconds later a HUUUUGGGEEE spinebuster by Batista, god damn, this thing practically killed Jericho. This once again gets Batista the upper hand. Batista goes for the Sitout Bomb but Jerich gets out of it. Goes for the Lionsault, but Batista gets his knees up. Both get up and Jericho scores with a running enziguri/shining wizard. After some close pinfalls, Batista scores with a second spnebuster. then here it comes, the massive sit out Powerbomb for the 1..2...3. problem is, Jericho had his leg on the bottom rope, but the ref didn't see it.
WINNER: BATISTA ** slow match with a few big spots. Batista has some huge moves, but only a few, which makes his matches sort of boring. Jericho kept this match alive hands down, but lossed. Could've been better.-Backstage, HHH tells Eugene that Benoit was lying to him, and says he is gonna put an end to Benoit. HHH gives Eugene one of Ric Flairs robes, a blue one, and Eugene pisses his pants.
Next is the Tag Title match.Tag Team Titles La Resistance vs. Eugene and Ric Flair. (my pick: La Resistance)
La resistance come out first and sing the Cnadian National Anthem, but are cut off by WOOOOOO. Ric and Eugene come out to a fairly big pop. Ric looks disgusted that he has to wrestle with Eugene. Eugene copies everything the Nature Boy does. Eugene starts and does a little woooo to conways face a few times, and even a little strut walk. Back and forth match between conway and Eugene with some holds and tosses. Lots of Eugene chants throughout the match with some tags for La Resistance. Eugene keeps copying all of Flairs moves which completely pisses Flair off and he takes a fit on the outside of the ring. Lots of chops and thumbs to the eyes of La Resistance keep the match entertaining. Eugene even falls down like Flair, and attempts the figure four. Ric tags himself in to a big pop. Flair gets all his big spots in and La Resistance gets nothing in. Flair takes Conway to school with the Figure 4 but is countered when Grenier interferes. Finally Robert gets the upper hand on Flair to big heat. Grenier comes in and beats on Flair for a bit. A few more tags for Robert and Sylvien while still beating on Flair. Conway attacks Eugene on the outside which seriously pisses eugene off and he snaps. Eugene alone takes out both Grenier and Conway. Eugene also pushes the Ref down for the DQ. After the bell, Eugene hits the stunner and peoples elbow, and then attends to a beaten Flair. Ric looks surprised that Eugene helped him and looks as though he has a change of attitude towards Eugene.
WINNERS VIA DQ: LA RESISTANCE ***1/2 Really entertaining, but the end sucked. Although I was right, I still kinda wanted to see the Nature Boy and Eugene win.-Video shows the drama between Kane and Matt Hardy. I like this storyline, and it's about time Matt and Kane go at it in a DQ match, and it's next!
No DQ Matt Hardy vs. Kane (my pick: Matt Hardy)
Kane comes out first to a mixed reaction. Then Matt Hardy to a HUGE pop, and he deserves it. The match starts quick on the outside and goes back and forth for a while, with lots of hardcore weapons involved. They even go out into the stands, where kane beats down Hardy for a bit. Some "you tapped out" chants are directed at kane throughout the match. Five minutes later, Kane is still dominating. After some more back and forth action, Kane hits a brutal Chokeslam then goes outside and grabs the stairs. This brings out Lita...something smells fishy about this...Kane drops the stairs and tells lita to watch what he's gonna do to her boyfriend. Kane picks the stairs back up then BAM!!!! a huge chairshot to the stairs which go right back into Kanes face and pins him for the 3 count!
WINNER: MATT HARDY **** Great match and a deserving big PPV win for Hardy, and also built up some good drama for this storyline.-Backstage, Lita catches up to Hardy and asks him to talk to her. He says he doesn't want anything to happen to her or the baby, and asks her to stay away from the ring.
Next is Edge and Orton.IC Title Randy Orton vs. Edge (my pick: Edge)
Edge comes out to a big pop first, followed by orton. I must say, Orton has an awsome enterance. Typical startout to this match, with back and forth action. Believe it or not, Orton has the crowed behind him, with some minor "lets go orton" chants and Boos when Edge is on top. Great back and forth action with many near falls for the next 10-15 minutes, way too much to explain. Edge eventually hits the Edgecution DDT and gets a very close 2 count. The crowd eventually goes 50/50 with their cheers and Edge starts to get some louder ovations. Orton goes for the RKO but is pushed into the corner by Edge, who then goes for the Spear but misses, which then makes Orton attemopt the RKO, which is then reversed into a backslide pin, which orton kicks out of. Whew...lots of tension here, but thats okay, cuz here comes the SPEAR!!! EDGE NAILS ORTON WITH A MASSIVE SPEAR AND THEN GETS THE 1...2.......3!!!!!!
WINNER AND NEW IC CHAMP: EDGE ***** Damn that is one of the best matches I've ever seen. I can't even explain it, but it was amazing. It reminds me of the Rock/Triple H feud back before they were main eventers. Hopefully not the last time we see these two.-After the match, Randy starts bawling as the crowed chants "nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, GOOOODBYE!
Molly and Victoria is nextNo.1 contender match Molly vs. Victoria (my pick: Victoria)
Molly comes out first with a wig that looks like a football helmt. The comes out Victoria *
shutters* I hate this enterance. She was better off with Stevie Richards. This match takes the role of your typical womans match, with Molly taking the upper hand most of the match. This match got a few boring chants, very light though. End saw victoria hitting a superkick to Molly for the 3 count. Victoria looked to have hurt her arm.
WINNER AND NO. 1 CONTENDER: VICTORIA *1/2 Boring womens match, much like most of the other ones. Nothing much to say, other than Stevie and Victoria have an angle builing up on Sunday Night Heat.World Heavyweight Title Triple H vs. Chris Benoit (my pick: Triple H)
Both come out to decent pops. Match starts out fairly slow, mostly getting the crowd pumped up. The ref actually felt benoits legs for weapons, Refs never do that anymore

Bad mouthing and trash talking between Benoit and Hunter goes on for about 2 minutes and finally the match gets underway. Loud "lets go Benoit" chants start. After a minute of action they stop again and take their time. A few more submission maneuvers and an attempted crossface finally get the action started. They take it to the outside for a few seconds then back in. Triple H now takes charge. This continues for a few minutes with some close pin falls, but to no avail. Back to the outside they go where HHH smashes benoits back into the ring apron. They fight their way back inside where Benoit shifts the momentum with 6 loud chops with many WOOOOs in the background. Triple H reverses again and takes the next five minutes into his own hands. During this time, Benoit takes an extremely hard irish whip into the turnbuckles, bounces back, and lands on his head. Triple H then hits with a huge vertical reverse suplex followed by a close two count. Another Reverse Vertical suplex keeps benoit down and the match stays this way for the next few minutes. Benoi eventually gets an attempted Sharpshooter, which is reversed into a Pedigree, which is also reverses into another Sharpshooter, which Benoit locks in. Triple H reaches the ropes and both men stay down for the time being. Next up is three huge german suplex's by Benoit then attempts the flying headbutt, but triple H rolls out of the ring. But thats okay, cuz Benoit does a flying shoulderblock to the otside through the ropes. Back in the ring, HHH hits a devestating DDT. HHH then calls for none other than EUGENE!! Doing what he's told, Eugene comes out. Out of nowhere, here comes the Crossface! The ref is knocked down and Eugene is up on the apron, so Benoit gets up and punches Eugene off. Low blow by Triple H, followed by a hard Pedigree. Eugene shoves the ref back in the ring who gets a slow 1........2......KICK OUT. HHH then orders Eugene to get the chair, and does. Eugene tries to get the chair away from HHH after handing it to him, so HHH punches Eugene off. Benoit takes the chair, but Flair and Benoit run down, but get taken out. Benoit then low blows HHH and theyre both down. Eugene gets the chair and holds it up to both of them, now he has to choose...
While he's choosing, Benoit tries to grab the chair away. Triple H also gets up and looks at them struggling. Benoit then lets go and eugene drives the chair into HHH's head. Benoit capitalizes and gets a ollup for the 1...2...3!
WINNER AND STILL WORLD CHAMPION: CHRIS BENOIT **** This match was pretty decent, but seemed like more of a match to elevate the storyline rather than an epic main event. But certainly a gret way to end a great PPV.-After the match, Triple H yells at Eugene as Eugene cries. Fade out.
