WWE officials are talking about doing an instant replay storyline. The idea would be to change things to where the referees can use instant replays to change calls made. The incident with CM Punk and referee Brad Maddox on Monday's RAW may have something to do with that.

There's this wwe.com exclusive, where Punk continues to yell at the referee and then complains to AJ Lee. Heyman brings up how they even saw it on the replay. The way they have practically every heel on their roster incapable of winning without cheating, I don't see how they could get it to work. At all. What, would the referee have a special monitor next to the announce table? Would he just simply have to stall the match and look up at the Titan Tron? Plus, with all the interferences that periodically happen, it could quickly end up as a huge cluster*bleep* of a feature. So no Sir, I don't like it.

Instead, reinstate the option to smack an official around from time to time without being suspended if they make a stupid mistake, like it was before. Put fear in them to do a more competent job.

Anyway yeah don't see how it would work, and sounds like a poor storyline in my opinion.

Playing the devil's advocate, it could work well to introduce new heel wrestlers as referees calling the replays in the heel fighter's favor. That's about it though, and even that is a stretch.

Sure, that can work for one particular instance. But it's not a finish that they're going to use over and over again or else it's just going to get tiring. Nobody likes a Dusty finish to begin with.

The problem doesn't lie with the idea itself. It makes sense, but it would eliminate all cheating/rules breaking in the WWE because someone could just throw in the challenge flag. If it didn't, it would devalue the entire point of it in the first place.

I agree, it leaves this pretty much as a pick-and-choose deal for storylines which looks pretty bad in the grand scheme of things.

I get the whole.. showtime.. professional sport feel they're trying to pull off with the WWE, what with post-PPV airings with wrestlers giving their thoughts on the event and commentators/HOFers turned into sport analysts, but dial it back a little and keep the things that work, aka not this.

I'm honestly starting to wonder what this would mean for interferences and screwjobs in future angles, whether they'll be more spread out or conveniently brushed off at times for the sake of the angle.

Oh god this is going to take lolCenawins to a whole new level.
