It seems like a minor set of rules is needed for the time being to bring everyone onto the same page.
The following rules will be in place for the time being to accompany the forum wide rules of conduct which I'm sure everyone made sure to read when they signed up.
No Spam - Don't come here posting senseless garbage to boost your post count or just to piss off other users. Doing so will result in a suspension or if it's excessive abuse it will result in a ban.
No Flaming - Simple right? If you have nothing nice to say then keep it to yourself as it will only result in you getting in trouble.
No Post Floods - Some may have no clue to what this is so here's a quick breakdown. Those thinking that having 100 posts on the first day will make their chance of becoming mod a bit better are dead wrong. This is a form of spam and under my ruleset that I go by this is considered post abuse. Post quality not quanity. If you value the forum you'll realize this quickly. Otherwise it'll be gone as quick as it came.
Watch the profanity - Many forums can operate with moderate levels of profanity. Don't go overboard with every other word coming out as *bleep*. Again this doesn't help move things forward it only makes the forum look bad.
Those ignoring this post will find themselves out of the forum. Members are working hard to make this a productive forum for discussion and they don't need people obsessed with getting power ruining the place.
Remember this forum is on a trial basis so foul up's can get it removed. After that no amount of petitioning will ever bring it back.
