As we continue to get more information that is coming out from this past weekends Bound For Glory events, PWInsider is reporting that Bobby Roode was scheduled to win the world title from Kurt Angle.

Hogan lobbied to have Angle go over Roode because he felt that Roode wasn't ready for a run with the title as he doesn't feel the time is right for Roode to be the top guy.

In addition to Hogan's opinions on Roode, there was a lot of a banter as reported on Twitter between Hogan and AJ Styles. According to reports, there was a lot of resentment towards Hogan from the long time company employees as Hogan criticized Styles on Twitter after Styles missed Saturdays fan interaction event due to a death in his family.

but i suppose it makes sense in a way. bobby's supposed to have another angle with angle (lol), but now that angle is injured, he'd have no one to work with. having storm as a transitional champion iusnt probably as bad as you think

i read an article on wrestlezone about michael tarver and how he's now on impact wrestling lol. didn't believe it either, but then i went to his wikipedia and apparently he attacked kazarian?

It wasn't last minute per se, but it was obvious that Hogan wanted take his time before giving Roode the title. It's only logical because he probably wanted to make a decent long feud with Roode and Angle, and if Roode won it on his first try, then I don't think it'd be as exciting. I think the reason why his win was pushed back was because Angle was injured.

It's become such a problem because there's no heel who's as over as Angle to hold the world title. You have the immortal, but I doubt you'd want to see Steiner or Bully ray to have the title (especially with the lack of build up).

Roode's heel turn is actually a win-win situation. Roode gets the title, and TNA now has a credible heel in the main event.

people want unpredictability, but now that TNA is doing it, people are still poking holes when they can.

steiner and ray are gold. first time i watched TNA in years, and it's actually pretty good, lol. especially the backstage segments.

fwiw, bikini car wash segment was actually enjoyable, and the street fight wasn't that bad.

not sure how morgan/ crimson storyline is going to pan out, though. i swear they did the same thing with morgan and hernandez 2 years ago not sure about the tv title, though. think robbie is holding up himself pretty well.

idk, the match wasn't that bad by any means. and i get it why they're doing it. but it's pretty stupid to have a draw when aj style is supposedly injured and he sold the injury the whole match too. it wasn't a bad ppv by any means, though. it's ok, nothing special.

muscle definition really has nothing to do with fighting ability tbh. as far as i'm aware of, both are trained wrestlers, so they pretty much have equal playing field. roode being jacked only means he'd be able to lift hardy. but it doesn't mean he's got a better punch/ kick or submission

fwiw, sting's beatdown wasn't meant to be a huge angle or anything, they just wanted to keep him off tv for a while lol. stupid reason if the reason was actually just to keep him off bound for glory series that has been reported by various dirtsheets.


less talking about wwe and talk about tna, though. they've been pretty good so far imo [/taker4ever]. yes, aj styles' storyline is stupid (YOU ARE THE FATHER) but it's one of those it's so bad it's so good angles imo. They're planning a huge summer angle between Roode and Aries. They're also planning a controversial angle with Joey Ryan either. Heard they've been signing a deal with Chikara (for the wrestling lols!) to reinforce their x-division as well. Sonjay Dutt's coming back. So all is good.

obv not saying tna is perfect, but they've been putting up decent shows ever since they went live
