Sad to hear that he retired - I think when all the dust settles and people look back on his career in years to come, he will be held up as the example of wrestler who escaped from the shadow of his tag-team past and became a fully fledged singles superstar in his own right. I don't think the same can be said for any of the Hardyz or Dudleyz, or Christian for that matter. Certainly not to the same extent as Edge anyway.

He's featured in some of my favourite ever matches, namely the first two TLC matches, and the hardcore match against Foley. I'm glad he's going out on the high he deserves - as champion at Wrestlemania.

I think he'll be in the Hall of Fame by 2013. I mean, come on. He has done way more than some people who are in there already (namely the celebrities.)

After the shock, I'm quite happy with his decision. A man who knows when to stop (unlike many..) and go out on a higher note.

I applaud you Adam, as one of my favourites of all time and as a man. I applaud you standing like you deserve.

*bleep* man, this stinks. I've only just started watching WWE again and was loving him as a face. Really hopes he commentates at some point or something, was brilliant on Friday.

Damn, that sucks. Edge was great whether he was a face or heel. I'm gonna miss him.

I have to agree with some of the "Stale" comments over the years but i will miss him.

Hogan should just stay off of twitter.
