Yes us workers have private lives too but when you work for a respectable company all that goes out the window.

I'm going to use my job as an example. I'm an EMT. The company that I work for can fire me for what I do off the clock. If I go out to a bar and lets say that I'm wearing my EMT skull cap cuz its cold outside. Once I get inside and forget to take it off and I get piss drunk I can get fired for it cuz I'm setting a bad example for the company.

I'f I'm not wearing anything that has my company logo on it I have to go somewhere that no one knows who I am. Everyone around here knows that I'm an EMT. I can't even take my F-150 out to the bar or anywhere else cuz I have it registered through the state as a emergency response vehicle. If I'm out with my friends and we are just dicking around having fun and name calling each other I can get fired for it if someone see's us getting in my truck/or knows who I am. Why? cuz my actions and mouth is setting a bad example for the company.

If I stop somewhere and run into one of my close friends and say whats up homo? You guessed it, I'm fired if someone calls it in.

It sounds like Cole's in the same position that Alex Riley was in when he got that DUI a few months ago. The WWE wants to punish him, but they can't really do anything because of how public his role is at the moment. My guess is it's just going to go unaddressed until Wrestlemania and they can write Cole off the air to sell Lawler's victory.

Rankings have little to do with worker morale, and more to to with turnover and economical impact. Personally I'd never work for a company that'd fire me for having a personal life. The issue with your uniform and car I can understand, and I wouldn't of picked to use a private car to be listed as an emergency response vehicle, but that's not really important. However if you have the issue of possibly being fired for joking around with friends, then you essentially are having all aspects of your life being dictated by your job. Really it's a case of working to live, or living to work.

Looking at promos like this and then seeing what Cole did causing such a shitstorm makes me chuckle.

I can see both sides of the coin, but Cole probably should have known better considering they basically are working from home on Twitter. It's a kayfabed social medium that's heavily advertised on WWE TV to the public for all to see. So it's not really comparable to, say, Cole being caught on his cell phone cracking a gay joke or some bullshit like that.

I don't really agree with GLAAD's stance and to be perfectly honest, I'd sleep a lot better if they and the other assorted goodie-two-shoe activist groups would politely *bleep* off. There'd be a lot more harmony in this world if hypocritical dipshits like this didn't make it their mission to ruin other people's lives for an innocent slip-up... but at the end of the day, WWE formed a partnership with them so it's only ethical, as an employee, to respect that when you're doing your job.
