Ring of Honor Wrestling VII |
![]() RING OF HONOR WRESTLING VII WE DON'T IMITATE. WE INNOVATE. [ I ] | [ II ] | [ III ] | [ IV ] | [ V ] | [ VI ] Ring of Honor is a promotion out of the North East that displays some of the best wrestling on the planet, as well as some of the finest athletes today. ROH has gone from dingy gyms to a sold out Hammerstein Ballroom, from underground tape trading to national television and Pay Per View, and from John Walters to Jimmy *bleep*ing Jacobs. Today's notorious wrestling stars made their name in ROH first. These wrestlers include such stars as: Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Brian Kendrick, Paul London, AJ Styles, Low Ki, Christopher Daniels, and many more. Today ROH is building the future yet again in such stars as Nigel McGuinness, Jimmy Jacobs, Bryan Danielson, Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black, Jimmy Jacobs, Jay & Mark Briscoe, Jimmy Jacobs, Austin Aries, Jimmy Jacobs, Claudio Castagnoli, Jimmy Jacobs, and several others. You can also expect top Japan stars like KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji, and Takeshi Morishima to make regular appearance at Ring of Honor shows. But none are as good as Jimmy Jacobs. You can attend ROH live events all over the country, especially throughout the East. You can watch ROH every Saturday at 8PM (EST) on HDNet, order their bi-monthly Pay Per Views on INDemand, DirecTV, Dish, and other cable & satellite providers, and choose from a HUGE collection of DVDs (and other merchandise) off of their online store. For more information, please visit their website at ROHwrestling.com. We here in Smark Hell believe that the best way to follow Ring of Honor is to subscribe to their account on YouTube and watch their Video Wires, follow their almost-daily News Wires that are posted in this thread, and check every weekend for results. And then, when your unemployment check comes in, order a couple of ROH DVDs. Ask us for recommendations, we have no lives and can recommend some really good ones to make ROH seem a lot better than it actually is. Also, please forward any Jimmy Jacobs pornography to Cattle Mutilation. Love, Smark Hell (The Neoseeker Ring of Honor Community) Where we left off... -Cabana and Rave return! -7th Anniversary results -Adam Pearce sucks Last post: quote Cattle Mutilation ![]() ------------------- ![]()

First, bitches.
Injury Report and other news: Nigel may have torn biceps. In BOTH arms. He's going to try and make it through the PPV taping before surgery but that may change. No opponent announced for 4/4 yet, he's not even announced yet. Necro Butcher cut his foot open on the edge of the barricade over the weekend. He asked for tape, taped up the foot and continued on with the match. Bobby Dempsey has a wrist injury. Jimmy Rave & Colt Cabana will be back. Their appearances weren't one-shot deals. Xavier, Mega, and Julius Smokes were all backstage. Smokes shot promos as well. Ric Flair appears on 6/13 (NYC return). Edit: Nigel next defends on 4/3. Jerry Lynn is the challenger. There's also a Colt Cabana article on the front page, and Cabana has been added to all the April shows including the TV Tapings.
Edit: Make of this Chris Hero vid what you will (can't watch it at work, can't hear audio): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POd94c6er80&feature=player_embedded This message was edited by DCRage on Mar 23 2009. ------------------- My Blog-Sports, MMA, Girls, Etc.

That was so awesome. Has nothing to do with ROH, you should watch it when you get home and have access to audio. It's hilarious. ------------------- ![]()

By the way, a side effect of ROH on HDNet: It's cost them TNA talent in the future.

Eh, like that's necessarily a bad thing seeing as they really didn't do anything major in ROH besides appearance here and there.
And knowing how much TNA is *bleep*ing them up, I wouldn't be surprised if they choice to leave when they get chance unless money is that good for them ------------------- ![]() Shine like the sun, flow like a river See a chance to win, take it like a picture

Hopefully ROH will be successful enough now that they're syndicated to overtake TNA as WWE's competition.. I'm still pissed I don't get HDNet though, I was actually looking forward to actually starting to follow ROH.

My friend, that is what Youtube is for. I can't wait to start watching ROH shows through youtube and begin arguing with CM about all the things I argue about with my WWE friends, only about ROH.
edit- After watching the show, some ROH guys I particularly like: Delirious(eeeeh) Tyler Black(so-so, he's not bad - but isn't my favorite) Sami Callihan(sort of..) Kenny King(I see so much Tbone in him, he even used the dragon whip! Rhett Titus(I just lol at him) Jimmy Jacobs(Now I see what all the hype is about. Main event result could have been better, other than that, nice show. I'll definitely check out next weeks as well. It would have to get at least 1.3 million viewers to beat TNA.
Today's Newswire Update: In case you missed the announcement on the main page at ROHWrestling.com, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair will be appearing in New York City when Ring of Honor returns to the Manhattan Center on Saturday, June 13th. Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana is back in ROH and he returned in a huge way at the 7th Anniversary Show in NY this past Saturday. Now he will make his way to Houston for ROH’s Texas debut on April 3rd and 4th. On April 3rd as part of “Supercard of Honor IV”, he has signed to take on D’Lo Brown in singles competition. Brown showed what appear to be his true colors at the 7th Anniversary show, cheating to pin Jay Briscoe, but only after giving what everyone thought was a heart-felt speech about being truly happy to be in ROH. Now the time to talk is over, and he’ll face another true-blue ROH performer in Cabana and Houston will be the site of the action. Will Brown pull another fast one? Cabana has requested, and ROH has granted, a special match for the April 4th “Take No Prisoners” card in Houston. It will be a clash of Second City Saints, as Cabana will face his trainer and mentor, Ace Steel. Obviously not strangers, and both with a world of respect for the other, this contest promises to be a special one for both competitors. Cabana has been added to both events in Canada starting April 17th in Montreal and April 18th in Markham, Ontario along with Dayton, OH on April 24th. Cabana will also return home to Chicago on Saturday, April 25th, almost two years to the day of the last time he competed in the Windy City for ROH. Necro Butcher came out of NYC with a severe laceration on his foot resulting from a dive from the top rope to the floor where his foot struck the steel barricade surrounding the ringside area. The cut, which required medical attention, will not keep Necro down and only adds to the myriad of scars left physically and emotionally by Jimmy Jacobs and his Age of the Fall. Now on April 4th in Houston as part of “Take No Prisoners”, Necro will have the chance to make Jacobs pay for all he’s done. It will be Necro versus Jacobs in a No Disqualification War. More history was made last weekend as Prince Nana brought the Embassy back to ROH, complete with his “crown jewel”, Jimmy Rave. With the monstrous Bison Smith and the thieving Ernie Osiris, it appears as though Nana is well on his way to making a statement. His claims that President Obama’s stimulus package is the source for his newly-regained financial strength are suspect, but what is clear is that the Embassy is back and looking for trouble. Jimmy Rave will appear in both Montreal and Toronto on April 17th and 18th, as well as in Dayton and Chicago on April 24th and 25th, and there’s no telling what Prince Nana has up his sleeve next. The saga between the American Wolves and ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen and El Generico took a bloody and violent turn last Saturday. After escaping NYC with the titles, an injured Kevin Steen was brutally assaulted by Richards and Edwards, leaving him strapped to the ring cables and bloodied. Not only is his knee in a state of disarray, but the psyche of both Generico and Steen is also on the frits. Just signed for 4/4 in Houston is a huge 8-Man Tag Team attraction with plenty of bad blood to go around. It will be Kevin Steen, El Generico, Jay Briscoe, and rising lucha star, Magno, against the confident American Wolves, Chris Hero, and as the second part of his “Sweet-n-Sour tryout”, Incognito. Steen and Generico have never wanted to throttle Sweet-n-Sour more, Briscoe is still seeing red, and Magno never gets enough of Incognito. The fight rages on in Houston. Matt “M-Dogg” Cross impressed in his ROH return, and will be in action on April 24 in Dayton. Less than 24 hours remain in the "7th Anniversary Sale" to save 20-25% Off Your Next Order. So...Nana's re-formed the Embassy, Rave's back and he's the "crown jewel" again...I think I know what we need now...TOI-LET PA-PER! *clap clap clap clap clap* TOI-LET PAP-ER! *clap clap clap clap clap* ------------------- My Blog-Sports, MMA, Girls, Etc.

Oh man, I think a drive down to Dayton would be worth it just to see Cabana. Hopefully I'll be able to go.
They better bring back the toilet paper though. That shit was so much fun and was always something to look forward to during the shows. Just tell them before the show not to throw it during any of the other matches or they get kicked out... simple as. Oh by the way, congratulations on winning the ROH World Title, Jimmy. I knew you could do it. ------------------- ![]()
