I think it's more to make a NOAH pairing with Shiozaki and teasing them potentially taking the belts to defend them in Japan when ROH returns there later this year. I don't know about Shiozaki winning them, Kobashi already chops the living hell out of him in their NOAH matches. Imagine what happens if he comes back wearing gold.

Added to 8/16 in Chicago is a Sweet & Sour Gauntlet match involving Roderick Strong. Larry Sweeney has challenged Strong to run the Sweet & Sour Gauntlet. Strong accepted only if a match against Sweeney was involved. Sweeney has agreed, but only if he is last in the Gauntlet. Strong is confident he'll get to Sweeney and has signed for the match. In case you missed it on the main page of ROHwrestling.com, the 9/20 Philly event has been moved from the National Guard Armory to the former ECW Arena now known as the New Alhambra Arena. The National Guard will be mobilizing troops for Iraq now that weekend. We wish our troops the best and want to thank the New Alhambra Arena for giving us a new home on 9/20. All tickets that have already been sold will be honored at the door. This will be a big day of wrestling as Velocity Pro Wrestling will have a 2pm show that day and the ROH event will begin at 8pm. Edit: El Generico participation in Dragon Gate results from yesterday:
Akira Tozawa, Shinobu, & El Generico beat Gamma, Genki Horiguchi, & Yasushi Kanda in 8:53. Generico pinned Horiguchi after a Vertical Drop brainbuster.

Hell yeah! Aries vs Black. That's definitely made up for the big wait for any info on Cleveland.

Also just found out that on the 9/5 DG show Generico faces Genki Horiguchi. Necro Butcher is also scheduled, he's scheduled to face Hollywood Stalker Ichikawa.

Davey Richards participation in NOAH results from today:
Mitsuharu Misawa, Yoshinari Ogawa & Mushiking Terry beat Akitoshi Saito, Masao Inoue & Davey Richards in 16:30. Terry pinned Richards after Mist Crash.

I was thinking the same thing, DG seems to be pulling out a lot of stops for this show in LA. I'd expect NOAH to do the same for the Japan ROH shows soon after, I think the big question is will Marufuji & Shiozaki win the titles beforehand and defend in Japan? (And probably drop them)

Raven back in ROH is awesome, but Raven being involved with Jimmy Jacobs has been something I've wanted to see since I became a Jimmy Jacobs fan. So this should be epic. PLZ BE REAL!
