I'm really sorry to waste your time with such a stupid question, but I can find no one else who plays Evil Dead to help me. Every time I go to use an item []Like the cord with the generator or the shovel with the rocks[] it won't work. I go directly in front of the generator and go to my inventory and click on the cord, and nothing happens. Same with the shovel and everything else. What am I doing wrong? Again, I'm sorry to waste your time and whatnot but...please help so I can advance in the game? Thanks a lot everyone! 	you can do things out of order but eventually they will all fall into place. as for the problem try the action button on the thing you are trying to do then use the item.

	Okay I have tried and tried and am having the same problem how do you use the items I want to use the cord on the generator but Ash looks at it and nothing happens I've selected the item and everything but nothing happens what am I doing wrong oh btw I'm using the PS2 to play this game

	this happened to me, with the shovel. you have to get in JUUUUUUUST the right little spot, and it worked for me.

	hte gameshark screwed me up i found if i didnt use it the items would work...but when i used the gameshark nothing would work...so i saved at a spot right before I needed to use something and then loaded the game without the gameshark and used it
