Why do you still play?

I actually think the last time that I finished this game was back in 2010, so to say I play it often, or at least as often as I used to just isn't true anymore sadly.

That being said I don't think there has been a day that's gone by where I haven't thought of Aidyn in some small way, whether it's a thought about how much I loved a part of the story or just by drawing parallels between it and any other RPG that I'm playing or talking about with friends.
To this effect it seems like whenever I go about passing judgement on certain aspects of an RPG, whether they be story, combat, leveling or whatever, I'm subconsciously comparing them to how they were executed in Aidyn.

I guess for me, Aidyn Chronicles serves as a sort of benchmark or golden standard in RPGs, which will inevitably draw me back for more as it always has.

I do not really play it as often as I used to but it will still remain strongly fused into my mind. The great memories I have had with the game while playing with my elder brother. I would not call it a quintessential game but I feel like if it was done right and the production was done at a steady rate, it would be the epitome for all RPGs in the future.
Of course, as I have mentioned in my introductory topic, I hope to make a sequel to Aidyn. I hope to do all things that H2O did not do and to do this, I'll have to play the game again and refresh my memories.
