Yeah this is annoying! Since we came to america when i was only about 2 or so I didnt get this but my parents ohh my god. XD Esp. my grandparents when they went here. My friends can't understand them sometimes. -_-;

Though my parents are getting better at it not and so are my grandparents but yea. I dont have it tho.

So what I do is I practice my English alone, like talking to myself. It might sound crazy, but it does help even for a bit.

Also, if you try to speak, don't speak like you really feel it, speak normally and it will all be clear.

I know somebody who is like that. It happens to me too sometimes.

Broadcasters read anything lets' say a magazine or newspaper in front of a mirror. We don't just practice our talking but how we open our mouth as well and expressions. Don't want to look ugly while talking do you? And I do that inside my room with the door locked and windows closed to hear every word and no one to hear or see you and think like your screws' unscrewed. We're not crazy but we often talk to ourselves even when alone!

I used to have a FOB accent myself when I was a kid. My cousins say it was strong too. It felt embarressing to know I had it myself.
