If you got half a grand laying around somewhere get the MGS4 bundle.

Even if I didn't get a PS3, I'd still probably get it. A friend of mine has a PS3, and she hates the damn thing. Could just go to her place to finish the game in one sitting like I did the last one.

Why not just ask your friend to sell you the PS3 then, Saint Jaycee?? I cant imagine anyone hating the console...it just sounds lovely!!

My dad has a PS3 on his TV. He uses it as a BluRay player. So I could get it without the bundle too but only play it on a limited basis.

Well the thing people don't understand from a developer's standpoint is the 360 has a framework platform to work with, the PS3 does too but very limited. Hence the PS3 is a little tougher to develop for. If you understand programming a little, consider making a game for the 360 like making an application on Facebook where you already got a database and source code to work with, and programming on the PS3 is more like programming a stand alone application and everything you'd need to work with, you need to design yourself.


I mean it's arguable to say that developers are becoming lazy but also consider games are scores times more complex now a days. With that, it is more of an ease of pain than an all out luxury for developers to be given a framework to work with on the 360.

Remember, they had the same problem with the PS2. Compared to the Dreamcast, making games on the PS2 used to be a nightmare. But the developers that did take the time to get the most out of the console ended up giving us some of the greatest games we've ever had the chance of playing.

They can do the same with the PS3. Just look at Drake. That game is awesome. How about Heavenly Sword? Sure, it was short, but you can't deny the amazing production values. The reality is, some developers half ass their PS3 releases, because fact of the matter is, right now, there's more money to be made with the 360. I can see it changing soon, though.

You should get around to play some KOF 98: UM, Jaycee.

I dunno about the handhelds, but as far as I'm concerned, Marvel vs Capcom 2 is the best Mega Man game out there.

The whole console war is a big mess to me, which is why I'm sticking to PC gaming. Spore and Starcraft 2? Hell yeah.

I didn't play much MVC2, but I did play alot of its predecessor. I remember Chun Li's rank 1 special could nearly one shot people if pulled off in the air =/
