Everyone seems to be using EVA 01 to argue there points accross.
In order to make this a fair fight, Lets just take out the fact that EVA unit 01 becomes a GOD. cuz that would make scrap metal out of any Gundam.

Eva 01 dosent need a pilot, when it goes Berserk, but you cant always insure that it will go berserk.
Gundams need Pilots, so there would be no fight, if there were none.

Yes, But it is a Debate about a FIGHT between two Mechas. And in order for two Mechas to compete, there must be Pilots in them.
Maybe the fact that the thread is called V.S. and not a Fight, V.S. can mean a fight between the Mechas, which one is cooler, which one you would rather be or have... so a FIGHT is included. and Most see it as a Fight.

Exactly Mr. MacPhisto. And Raijin pretty much said what all of us were trying to say.
Anyway, You have to be specific, as Mr. Mac said. So lets give an exaple:
"Heero in Wing Zero, vs. Berserk EVA unit 01 in the ruins of the Sanc Kingdom."
Give us something like that, and we can better argue a fight.
In a Mech debate it goes by stats, if you want a fight, be specific, like the example above.

That's still hard to say. The evas are pretty darn strong...now lets see here. Eva unit 2 against Wing Zero? I think that unit 2 would win. It may not be as strong as unit 1, but it still kicks some major ass. ^^

Hey yeah, I forgot about those fields. A Gundam's assault could just bounce right off one of those things.

Hey, Gundam Wing vs Evangelion doesn't have to just mean against the Evas. How do you think a Gundam would fare against an Angel?

I agree with you that some Angels have an advantage. The one that regenerates could whoop a Gundam's ass. For one thing, it would continue to heal. For another, Gundams aren't as mobile as Evas, and couldn't work to defeat it in sync. Sorry if I'm wrong, but I can't picture a Gundam doing backflips.

So basically, the only way to beat the Angel that regenerates itself is to have Trowa and the MFs or whatever would have to attempt to move in perfect sync. That would be pretty difficult.

Rameil the big daimond angel, with the positron cannon, could take out devil gundam.
Whats with this, EVA 1 not as a god stuff? Do you mean, not berserk?, before it gets its S^2 engine?, what? I mean it just plain is a god, nothing can be done about what it is, but you can control, the S^2 thing, and the berserk thing.
but, just about everytime EVA 1 loses it goes berserk, this is because it is a god and it has a mind of its own, you cant realy control that either.
So, Since EVA 1 is a big uber Satan thingy, lets leave it out of the fights, since itll win everytime, no contest.
