What the hell is this? Oh my god, you know what, you may not like it, but don't say GT was a failure. People around the world like it. It's dubbed as "the very successful sequel to Z". People say it was short because of failure...you kidding? You guys know that they draw all of it before airing any of it right? That means they had 60 somewhat episodes before they even aired. Anyway, even if the show was HORRIBLE (which I don't think it was that bad), I'd still like it simply because it's the sequel to Z. It's a part of the Dragon Ball franchise. That's the future for the characters. I like it because it shows you what happens when they get older, more mature, what happens later on. I also like the fights and the environments of the fights. I like that they fight in cities and destroy buildings and stuff rather than rocks and trees. I LOVE Super Saiyan 4. I liked the Baby Saga I liked the Super 17 Saga I liked the Shadow Dragon Saga
I didn't particularly like the first episodes of them traveling in space, but the first 2 episodes were very damn good (especially that fight between Goku and Uub), but the space traveling wasn't THAT bad. It was cool to see some of these environments. They were just toying to create a world that they know they can't make for the actual show, but they can make it for another world, so that's what they did. Lord knows it was a hell of a lot better than them traveling to Namek in Dragon Ball Z, and thank god it was shorter than the Namek Journey. The Shadow Dragon Saga was pretty stale after a while. Fighting 7 Dragons that look like pure crap, but the Omega fight was AWESOME! For those of you who don't know, Omega Shenron is the final Dragon that they fought (I forgot his Japanese name, it was like Ii or something like that, just used to calling him Omega). Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is THE MAN! I loved it when he did the Big Bang Kamehameha, that move is so fricken cool. And I personally like the way it ended. There may be some questions left unanswered, but at least the series is no-doubt finished. I mean it was a great series, but it had to have ended. Personally I like that it ended because if it was on-going, it would be a hell of a lot harder to get all the DVDs (like I have) due to the fact that I'm not Bill Gates dammit, I don't have THAT much money to throw around! The Z box-sets set me back like over $500 I think. All of the Dragon Ball box-sets are a little over $300, and GT...I got the Lost Episodes, I'm just waiting for them to make box-sets of GT because I am NOT buying 10 individual DVDs, forget it! I'm waiting for them to release the Cell Games box-set (full not their little 2 DVD starter crap), Great Saiyanman (has a starter, but I want the whole thing), and waiting for the Frieza Saga box-set (can you believe they don't have one?) and for the Dragon Ball Z Legacy set to come out this summer. Dragon Ball Z Legacy (I think that's the name) is the first episodes, re-dubbed and added in with the original Japanese tracks and uncut (like all the DVDs I have now). And YES, they're coming out with all of that. I specifically e-mailed them (and actually got a response WOW) and called 1877-Goku-now (the official Funimation Store) and they told me they are actually releasing those box-sets so I'm all good. Damn...now that I think about it, I have a lot of fricken DVDs...there's a place in my closet that I put all of them (they're in the box-set, but the open part shows all the DVDs and it's as if the box wasn't there) and that part of my closet actually looks like a store! Cool...anyway, long story short, I'm glad it ended so I could actually have the whole thing. Other than that, I liked the ending. I mean, what better way to kill a series than by "killing" off the main character. And hell no there won't be a Dragon Ball Vortex. I saw that site like 4 years ago...they didn't even edit the pictures like AF did, they just took pics straight out of GT. If there is another series, it's probably gonna take place after those 100 years pass, which will absolutely SUCK because all the characters except Goku, Goku Jr., Vegeta Jr., and Pan are dead...what kind of series is it gonna be if there's just Goku, 2 kids (they're not bad and I like them, but come on...) and a grannie are the main characters? Unless, there's a little loop hole that's VERY hard to find, but I somehow did it. I'm writing basically a series (no I'm not gonna say it's gonna come out, just for my own personal amusement), and it takes place BETWEEN those 100 years and Goku comes back, but by the end (just so there's no confusion or clashing with GT's ending) he has to go back to Heaven. It was very hard to do the timing because the story has to actually take a duration of 100 years because in the series, the main character (other than Goku) is Trunks' son (whose name I will not give out til my series is finished). Basically my series is his story. And Trunks' son is the father of Goku Jr....so as you can imagine, it was kind of hard to plan the timing for 100 years (because the beginning's 20 years later, and to make it so that his wife gives birth 72 years from then needs some serious stretching of the story...and some parts are cheesy about how he gets blasted into the future, but the ending to my series is VERY cool...let's just say it has a certain character from the past that everyone over-looked, but has become one of the most powerful (I'll give you a hint...he's in the beginning of Z) and nobody can stop him. Trunks' son has a fireball duel with this villian and the reaction blasts him and his wife into the future by about 2 weeks...in which he finds the Earth to be enslaved and all the Z Warriors down and out. Trunks' son goes to do battle with this villian but his wife doesn't want him to because she's...she's...she's...pregnant (with Goku Jr.!) but he goes anyway and all the characters sacrifice themselves except for Pan and Trunks' son's wife. That is basically the only way I know to close the series and not have the ending clash with the GT ending all the way at the end (Goku Jr.'s story).
