Context: Elder Kaioshin gives the Potara to Goku

Elder Kai says that the Potara is LIKE FUSION...then he says the effects are greater..That doesn't have to be many times greater.
The important part is that the Potara is LIKE fusion, so they both should give a similar boost.
Then we have this:

At this point, Goku is not aware of how amazing the Potara truly is. Sure, the effects are greater, but that could just mean no dance, no matching power levels, and no time limit.
Goku is still thinking in metamorian boost here since then Vegetto says this:
Chapter: 505 (DBZ 311), P1.2
Context: after Vegetto outclasses Boo
Vegetto: “…Well, don’t feel too bad. Even I’m surprised. To think that I’d be able to make this big a fool out of you.”
The Potara shocks them..
Anyway, Goku thought the Potara and the dance weren't that different, and he thought A metamorian Gokan, who should be equal with Gogeta, would only need Super Saiyan.
There is also this:
Chapter: 501 (DBZ 307), P11.2-4
Context: right after Kaioshin and Kibito merge
Kaioshin: “Oooh! Am-amazing! This is amazing power! Hahaah! [ ] Goku! I can fight too like this! I’ll go with you!”
Elder Kaioshin: “Don’t get carried away! No matter how strong you’ve become, you were never anything special. I doubt you could fight Boo head-on; you’d just end up getting absorbed. So stay here.
The fusion dance is supposed to turn weaklings into a fearsome warrior.
But wait, Kaioshin is a strong guy, he is at the very least Andorid Ssj tier power. He merges and nothing significant happens.
So, where are these "greater effects"? Well, we don't see this, until Vegetto shows up. When he shows up, we get this:
Chapter: 504 (DBZ 310), P9.2-3
Context: as Vegetto beats up on Gohan-absorbed Boo
Kaioshin-Kibito: “H-he’s strong!!! Majin Boo there is helpless!!! To think that merging with the Potara would be this incredible…!!”
Elder Kaioshin: “Idiot, it’s because it was those two that they were able to go so far. Two of the top 3 masters in both the living world and afterlife have merged, after all. What’s more, two rivals have joined together. That’s definitely strongest.”
Kibito-shin thinks that the reason is a beast is because of the Potara...Elder Kai calls him an idiot for thinking so. If you look at the quote,Elder Kai says that the fusion went that far was because of Goku and Vegeta. This heavily implies that any fusion of Goku/Vegeta fusion would be a Godly power...Gogeta can't be that far behind Vegetto, the manga goes against that line of thought.
Before you guy bring the Gotenks and Gogeta should get the same boost crap, take a look at this statement:
Chapter: 480 (DBZ 286), P13.2-3
Context: after Gotenks returns from fighting Boo
Gotenks: “I got the tar beaten out of me…”
Piccolo: “Alright, your fight with Majin Boo is 1 day from now! Until then, train as much as you can! If you get even a little bit stronger, it will be more effective when you perform Fusion. Got that, you miserable little punks?!”
A small increase in power, means a higher boost for fusion. Now, take the huge gap the adults have over the kids, and extrapolate that, and you get a being that's worlds above Gotenks without a rival boost. Not that the boost is stated to be a Potara thing only, as I believe that the Gogeta should also get a rival boost. After all, the Potara is LIKE FUSION..
Now that I detailed why I think the way I do, would some of you care to share why you think Ssj Gogeta and Ultimate Gohan are equal??
1) Potara is like fusion because with potara, like the metamoran dance, two guys can merge; in the same way, I can say that Ssj is a way to multiply your base power level, like Kaioken, but it doesn't mean that Ssj = Kaioken. The meaning of the word "like" in that quote is not what you have intended.
2) Goku knows well how strong Potaras are, because Old Kai tells him a potara Gokhan could beat Buutenks even in base form; even more Goku says to Vegeta that Potaras are the ONLY way they have to beat Buuhan.
Despite that, Vegetto is still amazed at how powerful he is, and he is surely way more powerful than expected, even if he was expected to be >> metamoran Gogeta.
Vegetto heavily underrated himself, so this can be a reason why he immediately transformed in Ssj, and going by that, he could even have been able to kill Buuhan in base (and that suits perfectly with Vegetto said to be close to Goku X Vegeta).
Vegetto >> Vegetto (expected) >>> Gogeta.
3) Metamoran Gokhan being = Gogeta is only an assumption, because Gohan has to suppress himself to Goku's level in order to fuse. But, despite that, Gohan is still part of Gokhan and he is >>>..>> Vegeta.
Fusion (metamoran and potara) is heavily based on potential: Gogeta can use Ssj transformations because Goku and Vegeta can, Gotenks, even more, can use Ssj3, so why shouldn't Gokhan be able to use Gohan's unlocked power? Gokhan would one-shot Gogeta in the same way Ultimate Gohan would one-shot Vegeta.
4) Obviously Vegetto is so strong because of Goku and Vegeta, otherwise, if it was ONLY because of potaras, we would have Vegetto = Kibitokai.
Furthermore, obviously even Gogeta is >>> Kibitokai because Goku and Vegeta are stronger than Kaioshin even in base, and they can also use Ssj transformations in order to heavily increase their strenght.
So, I honestly don't see your point here.
I might add that Potara fusion is also magic-based, because, even if Goku and Vegeta are miles above Kaioshin, it's clear Vegetto's boost is different from Kibitokai's one.
5) Yes, a small increase of power makes a great increase for fusion, but it doesn't mean fusion boost can change, this also is only your personal interpretation.
(10+10)*30=600;
(15+15)*30=900.
15 is > 10, but 900 is >>> 600. In the same way, the boys became stronger, but they are weaker than Goku pre Rosat and they are still weaker than him even post Rosat (I'm obviously referring to base and Ssj power levels); despite that, Gotenks went from being ~ Ssj3 Goku at his Ssj form, to be >> Ssj3 Goku in the same Ssj form after Rosat and, furthermore, he achieved Ssj3.
Ssj Gogeta is obviously >>> Ssj Gotenks pre, but Gotenks trained and became stronger so the gap lowered, as the gap between the adults and the boys lowered.
Given as facts (I hope..) that the gap between base adults and base kids is not that big (especially after Rosat), and that Ssj boosts are always the same for everyone, I can't still see a way for Ssj Gogeta to be > Ssj3 Gotenks.
