Goku and Gohan emerged from the Room of Spirit and Time somewhat early, so as not to waste the use of it and so that Gohan can resume his normal life ASAP as Goku promised Chi-Chi.

The same reason Goku wasn't in a rush to have Goten and Trunks use it later ("Nah, they may really need it someday."). Also Goku did promise Chi-Chi that he wouldn't interfere in Gohan's studies once the whole debacle with the Androids was over. Keeping him training unnecessarily for months on end (from Gohan's perspective) would certainly tie into that.

But this is ultimately just my own fanon way of explaining why none of the heroes in Movie 8 seemed any more drastically powerful than each other, is all.

Given how Trunks and Vegeta had evidently abandoned Grades 2 and 3 for regular Super Saiyan after their second Room of Spirit and Time trips... it lends some pretty solid credence to the idea that Movie 8 is derived from earlier than the Cell Games.

The way I figure things went down in my take on Movie 8's alternate universe:

- Vegeta or Trunks defeated Cell before he attained his Perfect Form.

Okay, I went into too much detail, but you get the idea. Thus:

- The heroes are all more or less in the same neighborhood of power, even Piccolo, as it seemed to be in the film.
- Both Broly and Gohan have room to become stronger by Movie 10, 8's direct sequel, without either being "haxed" beyond their manga selves.

Why would Goku and Gohan emerge from the RoSaT early? Even if Vegeta did kill 2nd form Cell? That doesnt make any sense.

Probabilitiy would at least have them finishing out their RoSaT training, they can't sense anything that's going on outside.

Goku didn't have this eyes when he fought Cell which means Movie 8 Goku is the same Goku who was suppressing his power just like Gohan. Gohan even had his Androids Saga outfit since Toei started to work on the movie when they were in the Rosat. Trunks and Vegeta were also weaker (Trunks's hair) so that means they were weaker overall.

Facepalm. They were not since MSSJ Goku and Gohan were not releaved in the Anime. Gohan even had his Androids Saga outfit which means everything. Toei copied their powers when they were resting and Goku was Semi MSSJ. He was twices stronger in the Cell Games. No, they were not Cell Games counterparts. Movie 8 is the reference for the Perfect Cell Saga. Goku was not MSSJ in the Perfect Cell Saga and Toei had no idea Gohanw as above him at that time and because they switched the role.

No, it's not. Gohan was wearing his Androids Saga outfit which means Toei started to work on the movie when they were in the Rosat. Goku's eye are the same like he rested and not the eyes he had when he fought Cell as MSSJ which means he was Semi MSSJ which makes sense since it was the last power he showed in the Anime. There is no debate here. Goku and Gohan from movie 8 are the same Goku and Gohan who were eating which means Toei copied their suppressed power when they rested. Goku was Semi MSSJ. And you forgot the movies are based on Anime right? Movie 9 was released when Gohan went to school was releaved in the Manga as well. Toei follows Anime when they make the movies and they never releaved MSSJ Goku and Gohan in the Anime so they can't be in the movie. Of course Goku was Semi MSSJ. Movie 8 Goku is the same Goku who was out of the Rosat and who rested while he was suppressed but not the same Goku who fought Cell because it was not even releaved.

Toei never worked on the Cell Games when they made movie 8 since they never made the Cell Games. They worked on the episodes of the Perfect Cell Saga so that's all. I already showed the pictures when Goku and Gohan of movie 8 are the ones who rested and were suppressed but not the ones who showed their full power to Cell since it was not releaved. How can they be in the movie if it never happened in the Anime? Gohan even had his Androids Saga outfit. Trunks had short hair in the OVA and Toei copied the scenes from the Perfect Cell Ssgs like Broly's transformation is based on Perfect Cell's Vegeta's kick to RSSJ Broly, the way he blasted Cell, etc etc etc....

No, AT informs them but they work according to the episodes. Also, they can't show something which was not shown in the Anime. Imagine yourself watching DBZ when it was first aired and you suddenly see SSJ3 Gotenks in movie 12 (movie 12 was releaved before SSJ3 Gotenks in the Anime) wouldn't you be surprised? This is why Toei never showed SSJ3 Gotenks in movie 12 since it was never releaved. Watch my video and then talk. Try again please.

Look at Gohan in the side and the Gohan of the Androids Saga. It's the same outfit. It's not his Cell Games outfit. Toei started to work on the movie when they were in the Rosat. Gohan even looks younger in movie 8 while he looks older in the Cell Games. Toep copied Gohan's sketches from the Rosat.
