Giran (Piccolo Daimao Arc) vs. Various Opponents

This is Giran from the Piccolo Daimao Arc, manga or Anime incarnation (whichever you prefer.) Manga-wise he got back up and continued fighting after Tambourine kicked him in the head. Anime-wise he withstood a crapload of blows from Tambourine and even knocked him back a bit with his tail. How would he fare against the following opponents in one-on-one matches?

1. Son Goku (21st Tenkaichi Budokai)
2. Panputto
3. Cymbal
4. Chapa-o (22nd Tenkaichi Budokai)
5. Chaozu (22nd Tenkaichi Budokai)
6. Kuririn (22nd Tenkaichi Budokai)

Personally I think Anime-wise he'd defeat everyone on this list as he seemed to do better than even Kuririn did against Tambourine. Tambourine played around with both of them but Giran took WAY more punishment and just kept bouncing back from it until Tambourine used his Ki to pierce his chest.

Manga-wise I think he'd beat everyone but Chaozu and Kuririn. Cymbal was stated to be many times weaker than Tambourine in the Daizenshuu (and by Piccolo) and I just don't see someone many times weaker than Tambourine tanking a kick to the head from him.

I think Giran defeats 21st Budokai Goku,Chiaotzu,Kurrin and maybe even Cymbal. im starting to think Cymbal wasint really that strong seeing how Yajirobe beat the crap out of him without even breaking a sweat.

I agree i really liked Giran, i would have liked to see him as a Z Fighter. I think he defenitly trained after the 21st Budokai as he defended himself against Tambourine.

Well Piccolo Daimao didn't really know much about the Earth at all. He created the ferociously strong Tambourine to go and kill all of the strongest people in the world and Cymbal to search for the Dragon Balls. It's plausible that he just didn't have the foresight to predict Cymbal running into those who Tambourine was supposed to kill before he did. Both Piccolo and the Daizenshuu say Cymbal is many times weaker than Tambourine, but again that could mean many things.

Goku said the regular Kaio-ken makes him many times stronger and it only increases his power by a minimum of 1.5x or a maximum of 2x. So it's possible that Cymbal was like 1.5x weaker or so, since "many times stronger" seems to be a common figure of speech that rarely is meant to be taken literally, in the series.

But Tambourine was toying with Giran. He could've finished Giran whenever he wanted to as evidenced by the one hit kill.

Kuririn went down in one hit yet Giran just kept on coming and coming back. When Tambourine DID take Giran down his hand was glowing, which implies he needed to use Ki to one-shot Giran.

The announcer said Kuririn desperately tried to stop Tambourine, so it's the same as Giran.

Tambourine only kicked Giran once, Giran got up and used his bubblegum technique, Tambourine broke it and killed Giran in one hit. There was no ki around Tambourine's hand, not that it would matter since we didn't see how Kuririn was finished off either.

When did Tambourine power up?

Giran rivaling Tambourine is a joke.
