That's the thing I'm just not convinced of; Goku has always been honest as far as I can recall, it doesn't "fit" him to turn into a liar from one point to another. I would sooner opt to argue a change of heart for AT, which if I'm not mistaken, could be suggested by AT replacing Gohan with Goku as the Earth's true savior as he thought Gohan was not suitable for the job. I'm pretty confident that bit comes from a legit AT interview, though it's hard to tell at times...

	Goku's performance against Boo says otherwise. He fought evenly with boo, tanked boo's hit like it was nothing. Goku didn't look like he was trying, and even piccolo knew Goku was not going all out.

	He had the upperhand, but even after just "stalling" Buu for a bit, the Super Saiyan 3 strain had already worn him down pretty severely. Imagine what would have happened if he would have gone all out, and failed to finish Buu off. I think when Goku said he couldn't beat Buu, power was far from the only argument for him to declare that he couldn't win.

	Well Goku says before fighting Kid Boo that he could have defeated Fat Boo. I think that conversation has very mixed messages purposely. I think Goku was just dancing around his true motive to let Gotenks defend the Earth instead of himself. I think Piccolo breaks down Goku's comments and Goku caves in with his final comments about how he isn't supposed to be here and the living should defend for themselves. IMO, Piccolo knows Goku > Fat Boo after the conversation despite Goku literally saying he doesn't think he could have won. -------------------

	Then its implied That Goku could beat A stronger boo( KID) with ssj3. This is not about Gokus ssj3 straining him, i am talking about raw power. If Goku could build up his ki and kill kid boo in an instant, like Vegeta implies, he could have won against fat had he tried, don't you think?

	"Building up ki" to me almost sounds like a massive ki blast, something like a Kamehameha. Goku's Super Saiyan 3 would have to be really, really strong at peak power for it to decimate Kid Buu to a point where he can't regenerate, with just physical offense. That seems a bit unlikely to me based on their fight, where Buu easily came back from everything Goku threw at him, a massive Kamehameha included...

	Well, that is true. But didn't Goku admit that he had not gotten a chance to build up his ki yet? Regardless, kid boo>Fat. If Goku can destroy kid, he should be able to kill fat IMO.

	I agree GOGETA that the means of defeating Boo is going to be non-physical combat. The two instances of Boo about to be defeated were against Gotenks and Vegetto. Gotenks said he would use a Kamehameha to blow Boo into pieces and then wipe out the pieces with his ki. Vegetto used a kiai. What we see though is Goku basically building up his ki, not in a Kamhameha stance or anything like that. I think Vegeta being surprised about it needing to take a minute to build up his ki with all of his might implies that normally it is something that doesn't take that long but with SSJ3 it takes longer than normal. That goes along with my idea that he is just building up ki there. Its a bit convoluted but imo: Goku (Built Up Ki All of his Might) > Goku (All Out) > Goku (vs. Fat Boo) Barring Goku going all out just meaning to not pull his punches. -------------------

	Vegeta says he will wipe out Buu. You can't wipe out Buu with mere punches. So I always took it as a ki amplifying attack... Hell, even SSJ Vegetto cannot make Buuhan weaker. It seems only another Buu can weaken a Buu.

	I don't know about that P, keep in mind that Vegito's fight with Buuhan in the manga was very short compared to the anime's. And in there, as it so happens, Vegito's continuous onslaught, and the times Buu had to regenerate on him, began to take its toll. That's not to say that the manga is wrong on the matter, just saying that I do think you can damage Buu, even if you're not another Buu incarnation yourself, all it takes is enough power to pound away on him.

Nope, Gotenks tanks everything Goku can throw at him. Quite easily too.
