Freeza's Power Levels

Hey guys I've been over this several times. Got a new angle. That Cooler issue really made me look more into Freeza's power before I move on.

2nd 1,060,000
Max 1,530,000
1st 2,060,000


During Ginyu fight I would assume that Vegeta and Goku are near equals base wise. Vegeta refers to Goku's power as gigantic. Vegeta is aware of his ability to multiply his powers. Goku looks like he's using Kaioken on Reecome. Vegeta recognizing 180,000 would make sense for him to say gigantic.

Vegeta doesn't get anymore Zenkais after this. Somehow he manages to fight Freeza. You could argue that Vegeta is at 80,000 after he takes the sensu bean. I'll leave the rest alone for now.

So after Vegeta eats sensu bean let's say they are similar. 80 and 90 k. They both receive one zenkai after this.Seems plausible that they may be on the same level post as they are pre.

For now let's keep Freeza's power levels as is.

Now for Goku

Goku 2,500,000

Ok so far that doesn't look terrible. We know Goku should be stronger than Vegeta but by how much. You say what about Freeza? Well Freeza is shown to be stronger than Goku's Kaioken x2 (assumed)

Goku has been shown to use x10 without the user being able to see.King Kai states he's been using Kaioken the whole time! This is canon! Using Kaioken x2 seems fair. Freeza is obviously more than double Vegeta.

This seems about accurate to how the fight looked. (no hands)5 million would be too far of a distance.

(I'm going to assume that SSJ is a 40x multiplier. Everything that happens between SSJ Goku and 100% Freeza indicates they are equals.)

This still keeps Freeza canon statements (530k and over a million) in tact. Goku is still over Vegeta. We just can't explain Vegeta vs 3rd S Freeza.

Tell me why again that Goku can't be using Kaioken x10 the entire time like King Kai says?

Funimation hardly does it correctly, they are even worse than Toei. Viz is one source for the manga that is pretty accurate, one of the most official english translations you can get, but the best source is the original official Japanese manga, which you will not be able to get easily, so we usually go by the Viz manga, and what credible members have said in the past that have read the originals, or at least, claimed to...

Funi's Japanese eps are ok, but even they have been stated and somewhat shown to not be 100% accurate with their translations.

To be perfectly honest, we all believe what is presented in front of us, whether it be Toei anime, Funi anime, Viz manga, original Japanese manga, other dubs/subs, etc... So it is hard to tell what is truly fact and what is not sometimes.

But to answer your initial question, most of us, including myself, go by the Viz manga first and foremost, as it has been pretty much stated to be at the very least 90-95% accurate to the original manga as far as correct translations go.

For the movies, same applies, only without a manga... Just depends on what version/sub/dub you see... The original Japanese versions, which aired in Japan, wouldn't have had subtitles I wouldn't think.... So it's anyones guess which one is truly accurate in it's subtitles or dubbings.

You just have to search for it..... It is not usually carried in most comic book shops unless you get lucky..... If you can't find it locally, then you can always try finding it online. Just google it and try to find a site you can buy it from.

As far as free scans go, I am afraid there aren't any really.... At least, not the whole series through. Bleachexile.com has SOME of the Viz manga scans, mainly all of DB up to the late Saiyajin Arc IIRC, but everything after that are fanslations.

People like GOGETA and I, among many others have spent years collecting our manga collections from Viz.... GOGETA seems to use his more than I do, as mine are pretty much all stuffed up into a closet and only a few times have I broke them out for debates sake in the past... I only have like 70-75% of the manga myself, so even my collection is not complete. I have various issues missing from almost every arc.


As far as Funi Japanese vs. Funi English, no, they are not the same, the Japanese versions on the funi DVD's are different slightly from what they say in english, I was just saying some people claim they are not 100% accurate to the original Japanese dialog in the original Japanese manga.... Which you would need to be fluent in Japanese to understand.

Barnes and Nobles carries it. Wooo.


So what is the more important parts I don't want to buy the complete set.

I would say

From the time they land on Namek to Mecha Freeza.

Pretty much need the complete Cell and Buu sagas.

I'm going to go get the Freeza saga and get the complete Japanese ,English subtitles to Cooler's Revenge.

Figure out this mess.

My personal favorite that I own is Vol. 27 when Goku goes SSJ for the first time.

I'm sure you would like the Saiyan arc since you are so into power levels. It really gives you a basis for how to build a PL list if you wanted to.

Actually nearly the entire Saiyan arc Viz scans are online so you may want to skip those.

Didn't you mention recently that Vegeta slowly felt his power grow when he was healing from the beating Zarbon unleashed on him? That would suggest that the Zenkai was slowly taking full effect. If this is the case, then the same could be said for the Zenkai he got after the battle with Recoome, only this one was much larger...
