Rate The Arc Rules: 1. Rate the Arc on a scale of 1-10 ONLY. 2. You MAY give votes with .5's and such in them I.E. 5.5, 8.5, 7.2, 9.3, etc... etc... But you MAY NOT give votes with JUST a .5 and whatnot, it must be between 1-10 somewhere. 3. Only serious votes will count, obvious joke votes, troll votes, any votes below 1 or above 10, etc... will not count. Please be honest with your rating. 4. Voting will remain open for 2-3 days max. After voting is closed, your vote will not count. So don't even ask for the favor. 5. Once voting is closed, I will average all of the votes, and that score will become the entire boards "official" rating for said Arc. 6. You do NOT have to give an explanation or reasoning for your vote, but feel free to do so if you wish. 7. If people do give reasonings for their votes, please DO NOT debate those reasonings in this thread. This is not a debate topic and I would appreciate it if you did not treat it as such. Respect others opinions and do not question them please. The chances that someone will rate an arc you like or dislike better or worse than you will is very likely. 8. After voting is closed, GOGETA will lock the thread, and after 7 days of locking it it shall be deleted from the forum fully as to not clutter up the board with all of the threads that will be made by this series of threads (Well over 100) 9. The only thread that will remain on the forum to never be deleted, will be the final thread when this series is all said and done (Many months down the road). It will be locked eventually, but not deleted, and it will be indexed for future reference incase any of us wish to look at it for whatever reason. 10. As I create each new thread, I will list the averaged scores from all the previous threads, so the members will be able to keep track of what scores the previous threads received.... I loved everything about this arc.... The whole concept behind Daimao, the introduction of the Mafuba technique, mention of Roshis master, Mutaito, Roshis admirable death, the first death of Krillin, Daimao killing Shenron, and the final battle between Daimao and Goku was epic... I liked the 22nd Tournament Arc just a tiny bit more though.... And for that this arc gets .5 taken off of it. Brilliant picture Mishimi. Ah yes the King Piccolo saga.
This saga is the first to bring in a real super-villian. It carves out the basis of what most DBZ sagas are like later on. Its the first to really bring in the super-natural element in the series. Kid Goku versus King Piccolo... EPIC! People die, the saga's full of tragedy and struggle, Goku becomes a hell of a lot stronger during the course of this saga and then leaves to train more. I give this arc... 10/10 Basically it has everything a good DB saga is expected to have even years later. Perfect. -------------------  | |

Pretty awesome, bad ass arc IMO, it had good fights, a pretty amazing, well written plot by AT, and Piccolo Daimao is by far by favourite DB villain. I probably won't hand out tens, but this arc definitely gets a 9/10 from me.

One of the best arcs in DB, this is the time when things actually started getting interested and this very well formed the base of DBZ. Simple putting, it gets a 10/10.

Probably my favourite DB Arc (awesome thread idea btw!), this just had it all.
Some really really awesome moments (Goku v Tambourine Round 1, Goku v Piccolo Round 1, Roshi's Demise, Tein v Drum, and of course the final battle). This was the first time I really felt a "holy crap they're in real deep shit now!!" with this now and finding myself really really caring about the characters, because Piccolo just seemed so unstoppable, and that was even before he used the Dragonballs to power himself up! So awesome. This was also the major turning point for the animation quality. The last few episodes have some really impressive animations for the fights. Even Yajirobe was a good thing about this Arc. I genuinely can't find any fault with it, so it's a 10/10 from me  ------------------- | |

Yup yup, Piccolo was awesome villain and there were a lot of good momemts. Roshi was perhaps the most amazing during this arc than in anything else and his death was truly sad. Tien was just few moments ago breaking peoples legs, causing mayhem and being a jerk, but now he's actually trying to stop a evil monster, even by sacrificing his own life. Goku vs Piccolo in the end was the beginning of an super powered beings with huge power and it was awesome. Only if it would have remained at such levels  | |
