Trunks Power Levels

if your saying what i think your saying. then trunks only ascended further as a regular super saiyan 3 times. his first was a normal "super saiyan". then he became an "ascended super saiyan" and finaly an "ultra super sayian"

Keep in mind with this though, that the USSJ and USSJ2 forms technically aren't ascensions at all. It's just the Saiyan massively powering up their initial Super Saiyan form. The real, proper ascension to the original SSJ form, is SSJ2, nothing else. The ascension to that is SSJ3, and canonically, that's as far as it goes. USSJ and USSJ2 are nothing more than simple advancements in the original SSJ form, not ascensions...

MSSJ/FPSSJ is the optimum power/speed balance the original SSJ possesses, combined with the raw power of the USSJ forms, with minimum ki loss. Does not apply to Trunks, but that's what it is.

To answer Andy's question, he basically just powered up once. He transformed instantly into his SSJ and USSJ forms, and later that long power up into USSJ2.

you also have to take into consideration at the time, that trunks and vegeta think its an ascension. for someone watching the show for the first time and not knowing what SSj2 is they would obviously also think that it is an ascension. i do agree though it isn't actually an ascension. but it's what they believe at the time and its what the audience is made to believe.

also remember when gohan first goes SSj2. trunks says "he found a way to ascend without slowing himself down" (or well something along those lines). so even trunks at the time still though he himself was an ascended saiyan. ofcourse the word ascended got thrown around alot after the freeza saga.

well actually the ascended ssj is a ascension cause its a level that was stricken when vegeta yet had the power to ssj2 so he went half way it wasnt a power increase it was a transformation
