Nah, personally I'm fine with the way Dragonball is. I don't really care for two anime characters having sex. In my opinion, it doesn't make for a better anime. Besides, Dragonball was essentially supposed to be based on Martial Arts, not romance. Obviously, Goku and Vegeta's children didn't come from thin air, we know what needed to be done beforehand.

Actually, Shonen Romance very much exists, you see it in dozens of series. A good example? Evangelion. Shonen is a little broader as a market than some people seem to appreciate, nearly all aspects of genre can exist as shonen, though obviously being teenage boys violence and action is predominant.

DBZ is very much aimed at a pure action market, and never gets any deeper than who is the strongest, so it makes sense that pretences such as romance are ignored. DB, which is somewhat more openminded, does have a slightly more romance inclined story, particularly with Bulma (but even then it is done for comedy).

Sex doesn't make a series hentai; particular peversion or predominance of sex does though. Its like films: films can have sex without being porn. Dragonball, and Toriyama in general it seems, does not place much emphasis on fanservice, which has become popular lately (particularly in shows like Bleach).

But, overall, Dragonball Z is aimed at 12 year olds, and its pretty unlikely that hottt sexxx is what they are interested in. There is plenty of hentai that deals with sex between the major couples. Just read that.

I'd hate it. Sorry, but I wouldn't want to see that. I'm not the type that likes cartoon sex. OBVIOUSLY Goten was conceived before Goku died. But if you want to know what really happened, Akira Toriyama didn't think about Goten until he continued the story 7 years later. He wanted to end the series after the Frieza Saga, and then after the Cell Saga. Then when returning to do the Majin Buu Saga, he decided to add in Goten. Oh and as for Trunks, it was supposed to be a surprise to the Z Fighters.

Anyway, I hate anime that has sex involved in it. I find it useless, and if you want sex toons, there are plenty of places online to find them. So if you're into that stuff, stick with those Animes where the entire Anime focuses on sex, which there are a lot. If it was in Dragon Ball, it would ruin it for the younger audience, them not being able to watch. Especially here.

I wouldnt wanna see sex in DBZ, but it would've been cool if they gave more details on how some couples were formed. Vegeta & Bulma are the hottest couple in DBZ, but we hardly saw how they got together. They really should've made some more romantic scenes, but not sex, just good ol' dating and kissing.

Trunks confirmed how they got together. Bulma would dump Yamcha and then start dating Vegeta, which would result in Trunks' birth in the three years leading up to the Android Saga. As I said before, Dragonball was supposed to be centered around fighting, it wasn't meant to be romantic in any way. I wouldn't mind seeing some romance, or even sex, it wouldn't make me switch channels, but I'm perfectly fine without it.

There are tons of Animes that have romance. And sex is not very romance like when it comes to Animes. God, I've seen some horrible crap on Cinemax or Starz or whatever. That's what I get for being curious about Anime. I see one on TV, watch it, bored out of my mind, and out of nowhere, a tasteless sex scene. I'd prefer real women.

it's just not needed at all. plus it would take up valuable screen time needed for 20 minute powering up scenes.

I view sex as romantic. As well as lovey.

And yeah other animes do. But i dont care about them, dbz is the one i am talking about
