Hi everyone, My name is Mike and I'm 25. I've been a fan of DBZ since I was 14 and probably reached the hight of my obsession around 18. I had purchased vhs fansubs back in the day, collected a good deal of the bandai figures, and proudly wore shirts.
I'm a little more grown up now I suppose. I occasionally watch a few episodes, but that's about it. The fansubs were tossed out (who wants grainy vhs?) and I'm trying to pass along my figures to someone who can truly appreciate them. But, DB will always hold a little spot in heart  | |

Welcome Mike..... I'm 27 myself, and I also started watching DB when I was around 14, but I still love it, and I probably always will....
I don't get why people use the whole "I'm more grown up" logic when they start to lose interest in something like a comic book or cartoon... Because it is meant for kids? That doesn't matter IMO, as many adults in their 30's, 40's and even older are still into stuff like that, and they are grown up just as much as everyone else their age.... So I don't think it has anything to do with you "growing up" more, you just simply lost some interest in it as time went by, regardless of your age... Keep in mind, I am not trying to say you are wrong or have myself come off as rude.... I am just saying what I feel.... If you feel you have grown up more by losing some interest in a cartoon/comic book series, then that's fine.... I just don't use or understand that logic myself. Whether I love DB or any other cartoon/comic book series or not, I am still "grown up" the same either way... ANYWAYS, welcome again, good to see more new members here!  | |

Hey all!
Got some courage to post here after seeing some of my age to do the same. My name is Jummeli and I'm 26 year old anime geek. None of my relatives or family show any interest in it and they dont really understand my enthusiasm about it. Bleh, uptight buggers, but i love them anyhow I thought anime was childs thing and only started showing interest after turning on tv and saw Vegeta's bad ass power up and fight against android 19. Then i pretty much found out the insane amounts of episode they had made for it and watched in one go. NERD! Dragonball was the best with perverted humor, crazy techniques and power levels kept at nice amounts. Dragonball GT was the most disappointing and I only liked few ideas from it. And yeah... in this grownup world with work and responsibilities it really doesn't hurt to be bit childish. | |
