There's nothing wrong with that IMO, I'm 22 myself and I still like Dragonball. But one thing you wouldn't see me do is purchase DVD in a shop or something, given the choice I'd probably order them from an online media shop. Not that I would purchase cartoons, I grew out of them so that kinda solves the "problem" I guess...

Personally, I don't have a problem with adults watching cartoons as I feel everyone is free to live their lifes the way they want to, which is the main reason why I'm also not religious in anyway. Not to turn this into a debate about religion, wrong forum, just saying...

Perhaps so, I probably wouldn't buy them in shops, but like I said, I grew out of anime at the same time, so it's no biggie. I did buy some DBZ games for the PS2 though a few years ago, games that I REALLY wanted to have so if I really want it, I'll still do it

But yes, no doubt there are older folks that still love Dragonball, you and me are examples of that, and just on this board alone, there are many more judging from this very thread...

Wal-mart eh, man, I wish we had shops like that over here, acquiring DBZ anime over here in Holland is though. Importing them seems to be the best way. I saw DVD's a few years ago lying around in local shops, but none of that anymore, they stopped airing it too over here, a few years ago actually. Luckily I managed to catch DBZ in its entirely once. Oh and GT too...

Well, embarrassed might not be the right wording, as I would buy it if I really want to. Not too long ago I bought the first two seasons of South Park as well, which is a cartoon too as I'm sure you know, so if I really want it, I'll buy it, so I guess I kinda misworded in my first post

Yeah definitely, I even looked for it but no local bookshop was selling it. No good bastards. So I had to purchase them from an online media shop which did have them all. For a pretty fair price too, delivered at home, can't be easier than that...

As for my "collection", it isn't that much really, I have the entire manga, six DBZ movies (dubbed by crappy Bridge Entertainment), and I used to have the entire DBZ and GT animes taped, but my VCR broke down, two of them actually, and since these things are still so damn expensive for whatever reason, I decided to get rid of all those tapes since they were basically of no use anymore, and just getting in the way of my rapidly expanding DVD collection

That really depends WHY I watch/read it...

The anime I watch when I want to be entertained. I like moving images much more than a comic, so in that sense, I would ALWAYS prefer the anime over the manga.

For logic/debating reasons, I prefer the manga. It is the canon, and the anime is known to sway from the manga a little because of dubbing companies messing up their translations of the original dub, and fillers of course.

So I like both, it just depends on what I want/need really...

I never said tell everyone... It's not like I announce it publicly everywhere I go... LOL I just don't mind buying it in local stores.

Unless I am mistaken, but wasn't the 12-15 year age group supposed to Toriyama's target audience for Dragonball more or less?
